Had fish and chips while staying here on holiday. Place was empty at 7.30pm on a Friday which should of told us something. Staff very friendly, had cod and chips. Took it back to house (5 mins) fish very dry and tasteless, chips average.

Visited for lunch while we were in Matlock. Had chips and peas to take away. All cooked fine and good value and service. They do take away and also have a restaurant if you want to eat in. Pleasant young lady serving.

Make sure that you go to the correct side of the counter. Different tills for eating in or out. We had meat and potato pie, chips and gravy. Scrumptious! Large portions. Very helpful and friendly staff.
