We needed somewhere to eat for lunch on Bakewell on a very busy Saturday and stumbled upon this cafe by accident. We couldn't believe it wasn't totally packed. The food was great, the puddings even better. The staff were very friendly and couldn't have been more accommodating to our family with small children. Cute little shop too...an added bonus. Will... Usually enjoy coming here. The food is nice and well presented and very reasonably priced. Today on ordering a hot drink I was asked 'are you sure you want that?' Well yes I wouldn't be ordering it if I didn't. Ordered the breakfast for the first time in here and let's just say we were both under whelmed when it... More

Usually call in one of the Bakewell pubs on Saturdays but prices are getting hiked up. This café is not one I have used 'till now. Just to say in a nut shell, it was clean, very friendly staff and the food was excellent!

Called in at Bakewell for a light snack on the way to Lathkill Dale for a walk and this was the firt place we found after leaving the Island car park. The premsis were very clean and staff attentive. We opted for scrambled egg and smoked salmon with tea. Very nicely cooked and presented with the egg well cooked as... More

Have visited a couple of times and have not been disappointed. Friendly welcoming service and a nice, laid back atmosphere. Fantastic coffee which I had not encountered before. Fussy kids were very happy with the toasted sandwiches and jacket potatoes. I loved the pate and more recently had the ciabatta which was tasty and came with a really simple but... More

Popped in this afternoon for a well needed warm drink and were pleasantly surprised by the great selection on offer. We are both lovers of white chocolate so opted for the white hot chocolate and had a brownie to share. The drinks were really nice as was the brownie. Only criticisms would be that the brownie came warm (which was... More
