We were recommended the Dandy Lion by a guest book in our B and B and were very glad we took the advice. We all had completely different menu choices and drinks, and nothing disappointed.

The people who run the Dandy Lion are probably the nicest people in Bradford-On-Avon. They are friendly, welcoming and really just great. However the food is not very good. My husband was so disappointed he said he never wanted to go there again. I didn't feel that bad about it as I don't think they are aiming at being the... More

Had a fantastic dinner for my 50th birthday while we were passing through Bradford on the canal. Lovely food and atmosphere with a birthday banner and a special hand made gluten free birthday cake which was one of the best gf cakes we have tasted. Thank you to all for making the evening so special and enjoyable.

We found a lovely window seat, on a rainy Sunday afternoon, the menu was so tempting we ended up eating!!! Service was friendly and efficient, The crisp belly pork bites accompanied by a mustard mayo were absolutely delicious, We also had a duck pate, which was equally as nice, a smooth tasty pate, on two slices of brown toast, and... I was very impressed with the friendly & helpful landlord today when I came in with my 9 month old and his little cousin. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed. Highly recommended.

It's been too long since my last visit/excuse to come to my favourite pub. This time I brought a couple of friends along for the ride. As always the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great, I had a lamb steak with an absolutely amazing salsa verde, followed by a spectacular bread and butter pudding. The Wadsworth beers... More

Staff were friendly and service good but it was not busy and the reason became clear. My partner had beef and I had lamb. The beef was ok BUT the lamb was awful, overcooked and tasted of nothing like any meat I have ever had, it must have been pre-cooked and sitting around for hours. The vegetables, broccoli and carrots,... More

The place looks good, would say: usual British pub/restaurant. It smelled strangely but couldn't figure out what was it. Food was OK. Small chicken, vegetables tough, potatoes had very hard skin but inside they were just cooked. Cabbage over-peppered. We waited 20 min for food and it seemed it was overly rushed. Staff seemed friendly. Not sure if I want... More

We booked a table with a push chair so they put us in a seat up some stairs which wasn't a great start. Food was ok but portion size very small for the price you are paying for a Sunday roast.

We come to Bradford on Avon for our anniversary each yeah, this was our 3rd visit and the 1st time we'd noticed The Dandy Lion, so we thought we'd step in and see what all the fuss was about as it was constantly buzzing with people. As we walked in, you could see why. The decor was gorgeous and the... More
