In a world of rules and technology it's an absolute pleasure to go somewhere and enjoy simple pleasures. I'd been here for a pint between lunch and dinner and asked if they were still serving - sorry - no was the answer , but if you are hungry I'm sure the guys could sort you out a sandwich or something... How time goes by so quickly! Another December and another birthday to celebrate. The choice of venue for my birthday evening meal was easy. The Longs Arms at South Wraxall was and always will be first choice. I have reviewed this restaurant a few times before, each time with a glowing report. Why have I done it again you may... More

Food was absolutely amazing, me and my partner loved every mouthful, we had the pork belly and the lamb they we both beautiful presented and tasted amazing! For dessert we had the Carmel fondant and some ice cream! The fondant was lovely but what really stole the show was the pear drop ice cream is a must try! We would... More

Slipped a bit since the last time I reviewed it! House Smoked Salmon was very nice especially cut in chunks rather than thin slices but portions small, accompanying Seaweed did not really make itself noticed. Best starter was the dressed crab by far. Mains of Lamb Rump were OK but not outstanding, the Plaice with a sauce of Jerusalem Artichokes... More

Went here a couple of weeks ago. Really good food. Excellent quality, emphasis where possible on local ingredients. We had the lamb and the fish. Really well prepared. They certainly have a serious chef. Didn't have starters this time, but they look good as they passed by to other tables. The deserts were amazing - leave some room. Lemon mango... More

We were a party of six celebrating a birthday. We loved the food and the pub is cosy. Would not hesitate to go back. Try the crab soup, blooming lovely !! Husband had lamb starter that he said was great.

We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found The Longs Arms award laden pub and restaurant in the lovely Upper South Wraxall village. We originally called in for hot drinks during the busy Sunday lunch period. The welcome was warm and genuine. Having read the menu and having several questions answered we reserved a table for the following Tuesday. The... More

We went with friends last night and to be honest it was faultless. Good choices on the menu, all individually prepared and well cooked.

Faced with 14 of us (8 adults and 6 children) we were very well looked after and the food was excellent. The children all enjoyed their small portions of the delicious roast beef but to their disappointment the ice creams were a little too "exotic" for their tastes! No plain vanilla or chocolate! Especially nice for me having grown-up in... More
