A simple dinner for two. We shared a starter and ordered two fish dishes from the specials list. The food was great, the service was very attentive and the beer and wine were good too. This Pub has its own car park but as we were staying in the village we walked.

I went on a friend's recommendation. It's lovely pub and the food is not your usual pub grub. I had the asian calamari. It was cooked well and tender but the batter was falling off and in some cases missing. This normally results from not drying the calamari, the wrong composition of the batter or I suspect in this case... More

We came here for an early dinner / late lunch, having been in the past and very much enjoyed the food the first time around. We weren't disappointed. The service is, as it was before, excellent. The food is absolutely divine! One of our party is an extremely fussy eater and nothing on the menu was to her liking. We... More

Lovely meal, with good beer and nice service. The pork crackling particularly good! The food is of gastropub standard - the venison was beautifully done. Great atmopshere though - good for drinking or eating.

It's one of those village pubs that I'll always think about when deciding where to eat. I've had half a dozen good meals served by friendly staff over the last year or so. New chef now who looks good looking at the facebook photos so looking forward to trying again.

Having visited this pub several times over the last few months to eat and have never been disappointed. Food is always excellent, well prepared and served and at a reasonable price. Staff are friendly and helpful and service is excellent. Can not find fault

After the many good reviews we were excited about this place. On arrival the pub is perfect and pretty, very busy - a good sign! A table for two, drinks order taken. Menu - plentiful and a gluten free selection. Perfect. Options considered and orders placed we were excited about what we were about to get, until it arrived.... Uncooked... More

I visited this pub with a group of friends on a Friday evening and even though it was very busy we were served quickly and efficiently by a very pleasant waitress. There were several other large groups of people in the pub, but the kitchen staff seemed to be able to keep up with their meal choices even though the... More
