We tried the Stag for a lunch time snack. Both the service and food was average. Perhaps next time we should book ahead and explore the menu better.

Food was lovely and they offer a wide range of good food. Service was good and always with a smile.I loved the fact I could choose to order a small plate option. Loved the honeycomb ice-cream and would return again. Reasonably priced.

Placed an order and after waiting 20 minutes told the duck wasn't available so had to re-order. Expected creamy mash, received under cooked boiled potatoes! Not worth the money, very disappointed and will not return.

We eat here regularly, both as a couple and with family. It is standard pub fare, and good value. The fish and chips is good. They also have a good range of beers which pleases my husband. The staff are friendly and cheerful, although at times they seem a little short-staffed. Good value food in pleasant surroundings.

We got stuck in traffic and decided to stop for lunch on the off chance. It was well worth our time. A lovely friendly welcome from staff and the real fires awaited us. We choose our meals and didn't have a long wait for the lovely food to be served. Hubby's steak and my chilli were cooked to perfection. We... More

We were greeted by a man behind the bar and took a seat. He took our drink order and informed us there would be a 40 min wait for food. We had a starter and main and only waited half that time. Food was delicious and the waitress was very friendly and happy! We will definitely return, such a nice... More

We went to the Stag at Redhill for our annual Christmas and birthday family meal looking forward to the festive menu as seen on the website, well that was the first disappointment of the afternoon, we were offered the normal menu with no explanation of why no festive menu was offered even though the waitress did offer to get the... Arrived with family of 10, an inn since 1550 ad, and I'm afraid the customers from that time are still waiting for their meal. !!!!!! I'm afraid they will be disappointed with the quality. Chips used as ammo in desert storm. Chicken harder than Mike Tyson. Needless to say not rushing back anytime soon.
