We'd stopped off in Portrush on the way back to the ferry. 1st time and Portrush is a fairly typical run down seaside resort. From parking, 55° was the 1st place we came across and unfortunately the upper level restaurant wasn't open but the ground level cafe still offered a view of the bay with wild waves and surfers. Theres... More

The food was great and so was the view. The 3 course meal for £10 was great value the staff were very polite and I would recommend this restaurant as a great place to go for a good night out.

Had dinner here with my husband and it was buzzing !! We got free starter free drink and free desert!! We just paid for our main course ! I really don't know how they do it for the price !! The food was of a very high standard and beautifully presented and the portions were more than adequate ! The... More

This restaurant has absolutely stunning views of the coast. The food was quite nice for the price, good value for money, they do an excellent deal on three courses. The staff seemed somewhat overwhelmed for a Monday night, meals served without cutlery, having to go looking for cutlery ourselves. Had we been able to get anyone's attention we would have... More

Been here on a number of occasions and I'm never disappointed! We hadn't booked a table and was told there would be a 45 minute wait... Within half an hour we were sitting eating our starter. I had Thai fish cake for starter and peppered chicken for main and finished off with a tuck shop sundae. Very impressed as always... More

Excellent food with a great direct view of the sea and coast. The staff and especially the hostess are very warm and friendly. The menu offers seafood, meat and pasta choices with an added bonus for early bird diners. You order any entrée and complimentary starter and dessert may be selected from the menu offerings. The prices are very reasonable... More

Myself and two friends had a late lunch here, attracted by the restaurant's wonderful sea views. We were lucky to get a table right next to the window and service was swift and friendly. I had the scampi and chips, with a coke, followed by a chocolate fudge cake, all for £10! Being from London, i was very pleasantly surprised... More

Beautiful seafront location with 180 degree views of the North Channel. Very pleasant and welcoming service. Owned by the same folks that run the busier Ramore complex, this is the quieter restaurant but nonetheless can get noisy later at night when drinks are mostly served. Initially we were told that the wait was an hour but after a casual chat... More

I took my wife, mother and sister for a wee trip around the north coast yesterday and we stopped at 55 North for our lunch. I had scampi and chips, my mother had fish goujons and chips and my wife and sister had the burger and chips and we all had a dessert after....all for £10 each. Amazing value and... More
