Too few staff which led to slow service. Dated furniture and decor. Disappointing quality and presentation of food. Most disappointed by the facilities.

Customer service is awful as the manager cant be bothered. The premises are old fashioned and the bathrooms need deep cleaned - on the good side the carvery is good

Lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting but sadly the food really let in down in a recent visit. We had eaten here before and it was lovely, but the food on our recent trip was pretty poor - over cooked (burnt in places) lamb, luke warm champ, tough roast chicken, burnt child's burger. Cheap tasting ice cream. Service wasn't up... More

We had a lovely mid week meal in the Hanover recently and it was fantastic. It was a bad evening with heavy rain and the lovely log fire was lit which made the atmosphere nice and relaxed. The food choices are good and the service is friendly and quick. We each had three courses and each course was very good.... More

Very accommodating to us and good food would consider staying again just for the breakfast. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. Thought the food was a bit pricy but for what they dished up it was worth it.

We stayed there for a wedding and the couple who run it were very accommodating to us and the food was good. We arrived earlier than the check in time and were able to access our rooms and they kindly put on breakfast for us as we travelled through the night. The rooms were clean and the beds comfy.

We were taken to Hanover House for dinner by members of the family living locally, First impressions - this is a small town hotel/restaurant which has operated in this location for many years - from the outside the building is an attractive period property, but when inside is in need of updating. However, the food menu is wide and extensive,... More
