Went to the Cawdor for a family meal. The restaurant is quite large and very nicely decorated but the lack of soft furnishings can make it rather loud when there are a lot of diners. Anyway... I want to speak to you on the subject of crockery. Let me say firstly that the food is very good, but about what... More

Family of six visited for lunch. Lovely varied menu, locally sourced produce, beautifully prepared. Very good service. Only negative would be the steak was served on a slate and the accompanying sauce would run off.

Stayed a couple of nights at the Cawdor and ate in the restaurant for breakfast and for one dinner. Food consistently high quality. Good menu and accommodaing staff. Will be eating there again.

My fiancé booked us into the cawdors as a late valentines date on Sunday evening. We were greeted at reception by a lovely young lady who we came to know as Stacey. What warm greeting we received ! Stacey was so welcoming, she ensured we would have the most relaxing and enjoyable stay - and she was not wrong. From... More

Beautiful from the word go ! Even though the restaurant was fully booked this had no impact on our service or quality of our meal ! I had the chicken pate to start followed by the risotto and my husband had the Brie followed by beef fillet and rib of beef both meals were exceptional, I did not have dessert... More

Not enough room to do justice to this excellent dining experience. Original slants on old favorites such as mussels, which were small and sweet, cooked with chorizo. For my main course I had a wonderful wild mushroom risotto crowned with a roast chicken breast. I was too full of mussels to do it justice. The vegetables were buttery and perfectly... More

Three of us girls had a lovely 2 course lunch in the restaurant the afternoon of New Years Eve. I opted for the sausage and mash and the platter of 4 desserts. Desserts were exquisite, main meal delish and large. Home made bread was served at the beginning of the meal which really made it for me. Americano was also... More

Called in briefly for drinks after eating elsewhere. Comfortable atmosphere with a lovely open fire we sat drinking wine with many having afternoon tea around us which looked quite disappointing if I'm honest for the prices they charge. This needs improving with so many lovely eateries in Llandeilo to compete with.

When I rang to book afternoon tea the member of staff was not interested. I stated that my daughter had a dietary requirement and after some haggling it seemed she could be accommodated - I requested wraps as opposed to ordinary bread. We arrived on the day to a luke warm reception. Our table (for four) was located in a... More
