Been here twice now, the first time my lovely lady had the game pie so I had to have a burger (which was excellent). This time I was determined to have it and I did. Worth the wait! Her steak and ale pie was amazing too, you also get a jug of the best gravy ever! The pies are just... More

Came here for 2 consecutive nights for food & drink. Excellent all round and matched by the hospitality by all the staff. Well worth a visit either for a full evening or just a pop in. Thanks.

It's tricky to eat out if you're a vegan but I emailed the narrowboat and was told the chef could prepare a vegan soup and spicy bean burger. What a change from being told by other places that the food was bought in and "beyond their control" or no vegan option. We all enjoyed our meals one vegan, three vegetarians... More

Wednesday night the pub has a quiz, monies collected for charity. Great pint of beer served. We didn't eat but after the quiz chip butties were served which was very welcome.

This place is what I would class as a traditional pub. It has a great choice of beer, including stouts (which are my favourites). The beers are constantly updated, so you could literally never have the same beer twice. So, if you like variety, this is the place for you. Obviously, they do have regulars on all the time. So,... This place is just off the main shopping area and is a lovely little place with some fine ales to savour. Doggie treats are supplied and my mutt enjoyed all the fuss lavished on him by the staff, who were very helpful and courteous. Food portions I would describe as 'normal' Yorkshire and the prices also. Well worth a visit... More

Four of us met for lunch. Never been before and we will go back. The range of food is impressive and between us we had scampi, pie and peas, Sunday roast and a small pizza. Everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed our food and our dog was welcomed and relaxed. Well kept range of beers. One of our party who, is... More
