Four of us met for lunch. Never been before and we will go back. The range of food is impressive and between us we had scampi, pie and peas, Sunday roast and a small pizza. Everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed our food and our dog was welcomed and relaxed. Well kept range of beers. One of our party who, is... More

Viisited as part of a 7 pub session. The Narrowboat is still a great pub and one of the best in town. Good range of well kept cask ales. Decent pub food and friendly clientele. Always a pleasure drinking here.

We stumbled on this bar by chance and we were so glad we did. Great choice of beers we also had wine, which was very good quality. The bar snacks (three for a tenner) were delicious and you got so much, also the burgers are home made and tasted fantastic. Loved the fact that dogs are welcome. The atmosphere was... More

Besides the lovely atmosphere and friendly bar staff, The Narrow Boat has the best beer battered fish and chips! We treated ourselves after a long walk around the Dales. Not to be missed!

Having had a fine time at the Old Bell Tavern in Harrogate I decided to have a look at another Market Town Tavern. This is another good town pub but with slightly less character that its sister establishment. The Narrow Boat is tucked away down a narrow street between Skipton’s canal basin and the High Street. The exterior is quite... More

With its full length windows and open balcony this unusual pub has an almost barn-like feel to it. It is very smart, is clearly very popular and has a really good atmosphere. They also have a very good range of beers and the service is efficient and friendly.

Booked in for a Sunday afternoon meal and my goodness did we get a treat. Already love the place and know that the staff are amazing as we have visited on many occasions however; although the food has always been to a very high standard, on this occasion the food was exceptional. Faltbread wow! Chorizo bites wow! Scotch egg WOW!!!!... More

Stumbled across when meandering the streets of Skipton. A real old come new feel to it. Great range of beers and found a fab non alcholic wheat beer. Decided to eat and glad we did. Food was great and the bacon jam is to die for. I want a barrel of this to take home! All in all would highly... More

We visit the pub regularly for a drink but have never eaten here before even though we have seen some lovely looking meals being served. Today we had burgers and chips with coleslaw and we were not disappointed! The portion sizes were perfect, the food tasted and fresh and home made and the value was excellent. We will definitely return... More
