Easily the best restaurant in the Midlands. A big thank you to the staff who looked after us so well. May I suggest the steak sandwich, a lovely piece of fillet cooked perfectly and great value. Nanny Quinn...you're some woman

My wife and I stopped off here before our return trip having cycled from Enfield. The location is amazing with a lovely atmosphere both inside and outside, we dined in the conservatory area so had the best of both worlds. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was just delicious. Great value for money also, we will definitely be back.

I cycled along the greenway recently and stopped off here for much need brisket burger. Slow cooked and very tasty- we all enjoyed.
Once back on the bike, I then got a puncture and my replacement tyre also failed so I walked a few KMs back to Nanny’s and asked about public transport routes back to Maynooth. The owners, Rosie and John, were incredibly helpful and gave me a lift to Kinnegad, a 10km round trip for John, where I could grab a bus. Zero fuss made and just nice to see some genuine kind folk around, who also just happen to serve delicious food and drinks. Many thanks to you both!

Had a takeaway Sunday evening, was given a specific time to collect our order arrived a couple of minutes early only to be left standing for 10 mins whilst the waitresses stood talking inside at the bar counter. Finally got served the food which had been in a bag sitting on the counter the whole time, I left and was in car ready to go when I checked bag to make sure all was there. Part of the order was missing so went back inside to be left standing yet again waiting to be served and at this stage so were 3 other people. Girl got the food that was missing and we went home. We only live 5 minutes from Nannys and by time we got home food was cold as a result of all the waiting and the food left sitting on the counter. The food had to be reheated and needless to say we were disappointed. Had we been served in an efficient manner im sure the food would have been hot by the time we got it home and would have tasted much better. It is not our first takeaway from Nannys , we have had a few, but if it were my 1st I certainly wouldn't be back. As someone who works in the same industry for a family business that strives to give the best customer service I think as a small business customer service is as important as the food quality and is something that needs to be worked on.

Avoid this place like the plague, I've been a loyal customer here for a long time supported them all through the lockdown now but after the service today I will never return.
I went today and ordered 2 Portions of wings and chips and sat outside, after 30 minutes we noticed that groups that had arrived after us were being served food, after 45 minutes I asked if there was some sort of delay? I was told our food would be brought down straight away, but it wasn't and finally after 1 hour waiting we asked for a refund as the food still was not ready.
A very disappointing service I for one will never return

Hi John,once again.....Thank you for your review!!!!!!!My husband did apologise to you,and I have spoken to the other staff member involved and yes a mistake was made with your order.As a long time customer you must have had several positive experiences with us that you chose not to review?your unwillingness to accept my apology issued on the other social media platforms leaves me wondering what to do.I personally think my team are doing a great job,especially as this was only their second day back with an entirely new system in place.perhaps i should fit the entire building with vending machines.All the best john,I am sorry we won't be seeing you again,but I find your constant posting negative reviews over the top.Stay safe.Rosie.

My last visit to Nanny Quinns with friends was positive and l said l looked forward to returning, which l did recently with my family. Upon arrival the waitress asked our name to check our booking and l had to repeat our name several times as she could neither pronounce it nor find the booking. I had purposely spelt it out on the phone to avoid this happening but that clearly hadnt helped. We were finally seated but it wasnt a great start!
During the course of our meal l had to ask for several things 2, maybe 3 times yet overheard 2 staff members discussing how they 'werent too busy' that day. I eventually got up myself anytime l needed anything (thank you to the barman who was very friendly and happy to help). I was also disappointed to be told there was no gluten free pasta on the menu however the rest of my family seemed to enjoy their food.

7 of us cycled from Maynooth to Abbeyschrule on the Royal canal Greenway route.. We stopped off at Nanny Quinn's and had a great light lunch. The soup was lovely and the staff very accommodating with the pints of water with ice. A great stop off that on our return cycle back we stopped again and was met with the same hospitality and customer service. Thanks all :-)

Nanny Quinns is a great sport for family friendly casual dining - and a drink (if you are not driving). Staff are very friendly, there is lovely seating outside beside the canal harbour (weather permitting). The food is pretty good too and the steak sandwich is top class - it's fillet, not one of the cheaper cuts

Whilst on a family drive we stumbled across this gorgeous little place, I rang to see if they could accommodate a family of 4 in short notice and they had a table available.
The staff were lovely and friendly.
The food was delicious with generous portions. I will definitely go back for more.

Where to start... just back from 2 night stay at Nanny Quinns. Spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Perfect for our group of 6 friends attending a wedding in mullingar and of course a trip to the fleadh. Apartment has everything you need and more with plenty of towels and bed linen. Nanny Quinns is so beautiful, it has a picnic area overlooking the lake with a food van which serves all sorts like loaded fries and toasties etc, also has a bar area with outdoor covered seating. We had the best time from start to finish. Highly reccomend this apartment to friends and family-you will not be disappointed. We will be back next year

First time visitor, and we will be back. Full compliance with Covid regulations, and the whole experience felt very enjoyable in these strange times.

Took my Mam,my wife and 2 of my teenage children here today for Moyher's Day. Luckily,I had booked well in advance- place was packed. Have been here before and food was always great. I had smoked salmon and prawn starter followed by ribeye steak,absolutely delicious and great portions. Service was friendly,good humoured and efficient. We all really enjoyed ourselves.

Amongst a party of seven I had lunch at Nanny Quinns today. The food served was to it's usual high standard .... my review in particular though, relates to the service. James attended our table .... he demonstrated the very essence of what epitomises irish hospitality. His demeanour throughout was professional, personable, most attentive, efficient and welcoming. Repeat custom is guaranteed with James on staff. My compliments! Joan

Myself and my partner had a lovely meal here today, I had the steak sandwich, which was a nice tender fillet steak, cooked exactly as I asked, medium to well. Chips and sides also very nice. My partner had the burger and said it was the best burger he had in a long time. Would definitely recommend. Lovely atmosphere too

Excellent food with good variety offered. One can go for a walk afterwards along canal so as to walk off the calories from deserts!! Very busy on day but we were served pretty quickly by friendly staff
