The family and I stopped for lunch at Bracken’s Irish Cuisine in Kinnegad on our way to Galway. The soup of the day was a blended vegetable soup that was outstanding along with the homemade Irish brown bread. We also enjoyed the Caesar salad and potato skins. The bacon was the best I’d ever had. It was a comforting meal after hectically trying to escape the traffic and one way streets and construction in Dublin that morning. Ben was out server and he was pleasant, helpful and attentive. If you’re ever hungry and driving by Kinnegad, stop at Bracken’s for a delicious meal.

Passing through Kinnegad today and stopped for a mid afternoon meal. Received a very friendly welcome in comfortable, traditional surroundings. We went for daily specials, Whiting, chips and veg (carrots and cabbage) and Pork Loin. Very, very generous portions (too big for me, no room for dessert!) but very resonably priced. Nothing fancy, maybe not a special occasion meal but more than satisfied us. Would definitely visit again if passing. Would be a great regular, local spot for a lovely, easy, resonably priced meal if we only lived a bit closer.

We had heard so much about Brackens of kinnegad that we decided to have lunch there. We were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were treated wonderfully. Food and drink was amazing and the waiting staff really looked after our every need. We could not have asked for more.
A five star experience that has ensured that we will return. Such a wonderful experience.

Last Saturday we stopped for a meal in Brackens bar in Kinnegad . The food was dreadful. I ordered "baked salmon" . Baked (many times obviously ) was an understatement. It was dry, crusty & tasteless. The carrots were old, dry, rope-like & inedible. The jacket potatoes were so overcooked they were powder. I would advise travellers to avoid this bar.

Great spot for a delicious breakfast. The food was lovely, served hot & very well cooked. The atmosphere is warm & very inviting with friendly staff. Service was quick & we’re definitely going to go back again!

Food very plain , had 2 roast dinners. Disappointing. Try Red Earth in Mullingar or Camann Inn in Delvin better. Not much competition in kinnegad i guess since hotel there is gone to economic migrants.

Great food. Great service. Perfect stop Dublin to Galway just off motorway. Busy spot but plenty of seating. Warm and cosy with a big menu. Roast beef excellent

Best meal I’ve had in a pub in Ireland…..Have been hoping to go for a while and got the opportunity last week.

Early morning pint, looked good, tasted good, served with a smile.... good morning trade on a Saturday..... good atmosphere building up. Must come back to try their menu.....as the food served seemed decent.
