We went on one of their first nights being re-opened. The hostess was kind of rude. We had a 3YO with us and she thought he was going to be sitting on my lap and wouldn't bring us an extra chair until she spoke with...More

The food was excellent. Loved the grilled octopus appetizer, the local fish special (grouper), and butterscotch pot de creme. Everybody in our family really liked their orders.

We have missed EQ post hurricane María, but they are back and better than ever. Kate and her husband Scott are always great hosts and the newly remodeled restaurant is looking great. We brought our adult children and their friends for a wonderful dinner. Great...More

Restaurant El Quenepo has been a favorite for years. Severely damaged from Hurricane Maria, the owners Kate and Scott worked hard on renovations and have exceeded the previous ambiance. The food is still the wonderful combination of local ingredients with a flair. Fresh, delicious.

El Quenepo is more upscale than just about any other restaurant in Esperanza. An interesting assortment of signature mixed drinks, and a wide assortment of mostly continental-style entrees and appetizers. I loved the Indian goat with goat cheese and naan dish. Our dining companions really...More

We have been here twice and both experiences were amazing. Everything we ordered was fantastic. I believe they have recently reopened after taking a devastation hit from Hurricane Maria in 2017. Enjoy!!
