Don’t care about the customer. Average food, poor service.

They have the benefit, that there is basically no other restaurant in the village. But still I would recommend to take your car or train and go somewhere else. Somewhere where they give a s*it about their customer. The food was average, the prices reasonable,...but the service was one of the worst. In addition they have very limited space for sitting, therefore if you still consider to go here (don’t know why though) count with the fact that especially during dinner time, it is crowded.More

Great place, open until late!

Great local cuisine with extraordinary Tatra Mountains view

Traditional Slovakian cuisine dishes and also some popular European dishes. Rational portions for reasonable prices. Very tasty. Great place to eat and take rest after a day of mountain hiking. You can sit at the table outside in the sun enjoing amazing Tatra Mountain view...eating some great dishes with slovakian beer or Kofola.More

Folk and tasty

Nice local cuisine. Friendly staff which speaks English. Not many dishes but everything was tasty. Clean and warm although minus 6 outside.

Dinner

Been there last night, was full so we seat outside - not so cold. After the very good soup, we went inside (WiFi). Nice atmosphere. Ordered Goulash, grilled chicken, chicken breast, some local food., and salad. Food was simple and good, chicken too salty. Prices...good.More

Traditional Slovakian food

The ambience is warm and cosy, the staff is all English-speaking and the menu is translated into English with dietary allergens clearly listed. Recommended!

lunch at Koliba Tatry

Below average, service was just terrible, food quality was also below expectations, soups probably just went from fridge to microwave... looking around you could see other table being frustrated and unhappy as well.

Dinner

We walked to this place few km as there are not many places to dine in nova lesna. Had to order food at the bar as nobody came to take the order from us. Ordered grilled chicken which was ok but the hairy chicken bum...on my plate got me. Lol. Would be better if its removed before grilling next time ...More

Best food in Nova Lesna

You don't have many options when you're staying in Nova Lesna, but this restaurant is really good. Nice service, reasonable prices and good food. If there is no free tables you can just sit next to somebody. It's nice place after long mountains walk ;)...They have best dumplings with bryndza and baked potato with bryndza ;)More

Good dinner spot in Nova Lesna

If you are staying in Nova Lesna you don't have many options on where to go out for dinner. But luckily you have Koliba Tatry there. Slovak specials are good quality for reasonable price and also other meals we've tried were good enough. Overall, recommended...for a visit, you won't be disappointed. Oh, and don't forget to try local "horec" as a spirit.More

Traditional Slovak Restaraunt

My husband and I stayed in Nova Lesna for a week. As the dining options in the village are limited we ate at Koliba Tatry for three nights of our stay. The restaurant has a lovely ambience, it is cozy with the fire going and...has lovely low lighting. The food was good but the menu a little limited. The beer is priced incredibly reasonably at €1.20 for a large glass. The service was quick and efficient but the young waiter and waitress could smile a little more. As non-locals we felt a little unwelcome.More
