Building is converted church. Staff are young and friendly - plenty of seating outside and in. We usually have cheeseburger and home made fries. We've also been to the previous place in Truro which was much smaller but same tasty food. No complaints, food lovely...More

Buzzing Artisan burger restaurant in Truro centre. The building is an old church and oozes character with a modern trendy industrial feel. Lots of choice on the menu the burgers are really juicy and tasty add as much or as little as you want. Fries...More

There's a pleasant, vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere in this rather overpriced essentially burger bar. The staff are friendly, swift and helpful but the place feels sticky and in need of a good clean. The day we were there was obviously laundry day so there were...More

My girlfriend and I come to Hubbox at least once a month (often more as it's so good). It's always great food and great service, never had a bad experience. I have tried every burger and hotdog on the menu at least once, for research...More

I visited the hubbox in Truro on a busy Friday night and was surprised that we managed to get a table upstairs despite the restaurant having a lot of bookings. I ordered the all star with dirty fries. The food was incredible and served very...More

Went along for a burger before the movies on a Sunday afternoon. Staff friendly enough although if you are sat upstairs you are not always able to grab someone's attention. Burger was tasty although maybe a little overpriced. With tip we paid £40 for 2...More

Great local Cornish produce. Excellent burgers and beer. Fast and really good value. Any of the hubboxes are well worth a visit

Introduced by a local for a quick early lunch. Essentially a converted church building which evolved from a pop up in containers, which are recalled in the current decor. Designed for the younger set with large tables downstairs and also upstairs. Music is loud and...More

Do you make your own burgers? Do you only serve burgers well done? Can we order and be served them medium or medium rare? I understand that the Food Standards Agency and Environmental Health have recently changed their guidance and that well sourced beef prepared and cooked in a well ordered kitchen is acceptable if the customer specifically requests how they want their burger cooked.

I often contribute to the scheme elsewhere. Does it operate in Truro?

Find the booking protocol quite refreshing. Waiting half an hour is a low price to pay. The whole approach and speedy turnaround is entirely flexible. Sometimes lunchtime can be difficult if you have to be back by a strict deadline but that's life. With alternatives like Easy Ed's or Burger King, Subway etc there's no contest.

Description
Our original Truro restaurant was specially converted from a 30 foot shipping container into a fully modern mini-restaurant with seating for 20 inside. The feedback and response from our customers was so great we had to find a bigger more permanent location. We have now relocated to the former chape. Head chef Alex Towill has overseen the menu which includes the Hubbox's popular range of handmade burgers, hot dogs made from 98% free range pork, pulled pork sandwiches and the Hub Big Mack Daddy - crispy Cornish mackerel with shredded beetroot and horseradish mayo. Our menu uses the very best Cornish ingredients in a relaxed quality way and has been winning rave reviews in St Ives, Truro and Exeter. We have now extended the Hubbox menu with a range of BBQ specials slow smoked over hickory wood chips and in Truro we also have a fully stocked bar with an ever changing beer wall of great craft beers and a selection of funky cocktails.
