It might seem rather foolish to book the same restaurant for both Christmas lunch and New Year’s Eve lunch, but with Penrose Kitchen it was not so much a gamble as a racing certainty that we would have a great time. The turbot on Christmas...More
This restaurant is a hidden gem and I couldn’t recommend it enough.
Went for lunch with partner and mum. Had a range of food which was local and delicious. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and in a relaxed country setting. Plenty of parking.
We loved our dinner here! The food was delicious, the hostess and chef were delightful, and the dining room is light and fresh and appealing. It felt casual and elegant. A wonderful way to end our trip to Cornwall!
Only just discovered this place a couple of months ago and I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. This is top end food at a bargain price. Affordable three course meal cooked with love and care. The service is also impeccable and friendly.
Booked for a family Sunday lunch after recommendations and Gold Award winner of some scheme.
Very good wine and drinks list and an interesting menu. This was the high point of the meal. The restaurant was busy, about 90% capacity. Arrived at 1.15 but didn't...More
