We visit this pub once a year and have never been disappointed. The food is good with a wide range of choices, including the odd item rarely seen elsewhere, such as rabbit casserole, along with fish, meat and duck options. We went for the rack of lamb - warning - it was huge! but really nice.

We go to the Britannia every time we are in the Gower and always love it! This time was no exception. The interior is split in two, a bar area (where you can also have food) and the restaurant area. Both are lively and full of atmosphere. Food-wise, I had the smoked duck confit pot with chutney followed by the... More

We visited here after staying at bank farm in Port Eynon and looked at TripAdvisor for local pubs/restaurants before hand and boy were we glad we did. To simply put it this place is getting things spot on when it comes to food. We visited on a lunchtime and the welsh cowl was to die for, definitely quality over quantity.... More

This place doesn't look much from the outside, and when you park and come in the back through the beer garden, although a lovely view the building is just ok..... But once sat inside everything changes for the better (ooh apart from a little cold even this time of year, the walls are so thick it's actually colder in that... More

We were advised to go to The Britannia by our B and B host and we were so grateful for the tip. We had two meals at the pub and both were absolutely superb. The pub has a warm welcoming atmosphere and the staff were all delightful. An interesting menu and the food was beautifully cooked and presented. Only slight... More

Went here for lunch on Good Friday and glad we booked in advance, it was full! We order from the 3 course set menu. The food was excellent, so tasty and so attractively presented. Fresh prepared food and such a great choice on the menu. Excellent value for money with such high standard of food.

We have just had delicious lunch at this busy quaint pub/restaurant. We had tried to reserve a table but were told that the restaurant was not open and no reservations were taken for the bar. When we arrived we found that the restaurant was indeed open and we were very fortunate to have the last table in the bar. The... More

Poor service, poor meal. Ordered two bream meals (should have been pan fried? but wasn't). Given the choice of salad or veg, asked what veg and was told "beans, brocolli and carrots" chose veg but was then asked "was that 2 veg and one salad?" Chef had to be told to amend the order. Meal came, no cutlery, cutlery came,... More

Had lunch in the restaurant and have to say the sous-vide lamb and Welsh beef dishes we ordered were beautifully cooked. But more than that, the attentiveness of the staff and their willingness for the customer to have an excellent experience was what made our meal even better. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming... More

We had a delicious lunch by a warming log fire. The staff were friendly and helpful .The menu has a great choice with plenty of variety to suit all tastes. Gower vegetable soup was excellent and tasty, just right for a rainy day ,followed by steak pie for dad which he thoroughly enjoyed. Lamb tagine was excellent. It was certainly one... More
