This restaurant offers an excellent choice of dishes all of which are beautifully presented and delicious.
The cellar is well stocked with a good range of wines and the service is friendly and efficient.
A very welcoming restaurant of high quality.

We have been using this wonderful restaurant for 20years and always make sure we eat here at least twice on our holidays.
We celebrated my husbands birthday here with family and friends and were looked after fabulously throughout.
The food is always delicious and the friendly, professional and knowledgeable, staff headed by husband and wife theme Thierry and Veronique, are second to known.
Couldn’t recommend it enough!!

Our chalet hosts recommended this restaurant to our party of 12 adults and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Excellent, fast service. We all had 3 courses and everyone enjoyed their food and cleared their plates. I shared the fondue starter which was exceptional - so incredibly tasty. Steak for main, cooked to perfection. Dessert was a nutty chocolate stack that melted in the mouth. The restaurant was quirky, modern and welcoming and the staff were all very professional and helpful. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly - if you get the chance to visit its well worth the money.

Servive great nice atmosphere. We chose the vegan menu for new years eve it was pretty poor for the cost. The starter came and was pleasent although nothing fancy. Main was a tofu and chestnut risotto. It was bland and flavourless. The tofu tasted like it has been boiled and 0 seasoning. The rice was overcooked and stodgy even for risotto rice and taste like it was boiled in water not stock. We were offered a replacement of which we chose veggie lasagne. For a start I couldnt enjoy it because it always plays on my mind sending food back to the kitchen. Although better it was still lacking flavour and seasoning, no sign of tomato or tomato sauce of any description and covered in cheese. The pasta was overcooked and had no bite to it although the fine sliced vegetables were nice. The poached pear desert came with a hair in it to finish off which I didnt even touch. We were'nt actually to bothered about that as accidents happen but it finished off a dissapointing nye meal we had been looking forward to. Our bill was rightly reduced by the helpful head of house and we left the pleasent waitress a tip however we wont be returning. Vegetarian/vegan look elsewhere

Great decor, good service, acceptable food. First impressions are great. Smart, clean and inviting. Service was good and drinks came quickly - food arrived in a timely manner but my daughter summed it up in her comments that we can cook better at home! We are not fussy, but left a little disappointed. The ribs were of Aldi quality, the trout lacked flavour and the duck burger was interesting but I wouldn’t order it again. Not a disaster, but not enough to want me to return.

Half way through our meal the waiter kicked a mouse across the floor, picked it up with his hands and 30 seconds later was carrying our meal out to the table. Complained to the manager and he denied all responsibility for the disgusting behaviour. On top of this, served a sub par steak from the end of a beef joint and still charged €30. Never go here.

We have been to La Chaudanne on 3 previous occasions over the past 2 years and as always the service was excellent and the staff really accommodating, but sadly the food didn’t seem up to scratch on this occasion - the onion soup was not very hot and not the usual crusty bread topped with bubbling gruyère cheese which one would expect. The vegetarian dish of a leek and mushroom tart I had was initially cold, so I sent it back and when it came back, yes it was hot, but had dried out and the shredded leek was burnt to a crisp and the puff pastry was like cardboard. AND the plates were cold ....why a restaurant serves its hot food on cold plates is beyond my comprehension, however I wasn’t charged for my main dish, which was a plus. Not sure we shall be back .......

Merci pour votre avis. Nous sommes désolés de ne pas avoir été à la hauteur cette fois-ci et nous excusons pour ce désagrément. Vous m'avez fait part le soir-même de la tarte fine aux poireaux (remarque tout à fait justifiée de votre part) par contre vous ne m'avez pas parlé de la soupe à l'oignon ni même de chaleur des assiettes… Nous sommes très vigilants quant à l’envoi des assiettes (stockées dans un chauffe-plat tout au long du service) mais parfois, lors des services très chargés, il arrive que certains détails nous échappent… Nous espérons que vous ne resterez pas sur une mauvaise note (nous avons aussi le droit à l’erreur…) et espérons vous revoir une prochaine fois. Awful experience at the Chaudanne and wasn't the first time. Started with reserving a table, where the hostess completely blew us off while we were standing in front of her to reserve a table and began speaking to her girlfriend mid conversation with us. Very rude. On the night of our reservation, it took 15 mins for the drinks to arrive, following that another 20 mins for the green salad to arrive and following that an additional 40 mins for the main course to arrive which was mediocre at that. Will not be returning to this establishment again.

Our new years dinner was a bad one This year. Without taste and other bad performance things from the kitchen. The vegetarian oR vegan menue, was also a big dissapointment.
The positive factors were the Wine and the dessert. The management and staff were friendly and nice but that can never make up for bad deliveries from the chef.

Fondue inedible, bitter and acidic. Far too heavy on the wine/not a very nice one. It was a struggle to eat and ended up leaving the whole thing virtually untouched. Staff dismissed our concerns, saying it that it would taste strong because it has 3 cheeses and wine… yes we know we’ve had it before! We’ve eaten fondue in various restaurants across France. Could have been a good experience. The restaurant was very busy, it is clearly popular but our experience was poor unfortunately.

Terrible service, unexplained menu, too busy understaffed, for what was supposed to be an enjoyable birthday celebration turned into a disaster. Was so busy we had plates and forks dropped on laps of the table, with no apology. We ordered starters and mains which took 2 hours to come. The main course of sharing meat platter which on the menu comes across as cooked turned up raw, unseasoned and having to cook ourselves. When we explained this is not what we expected we faced statistics from the waiter on how popular it was.. I didn’t ask for statistics I asked for cooked food. My partner had a cracked glass with vodka and lemonade in which we gave back and asked to change the glass. 20 minutes later after asking for the new drink back was given half a glass of lemonade. Any restaurant in my past I have been too would’ve given a complimentary drink for the sorry of a cracked glass, and a sorry for dropping plates and forks and a understanding of the menu not being clear instead of rude disgusting faces from waiters and waitresses. Wouldn’t go back or recommend to anyone. Need training in food and beverage and customer service asap.

Went after reading reviews. 5 mins walk from the Main Street. Really enjoyed the bar downstairs nice atmosphere not rowdy apres at all. The upstairs restaurant is designed very well and the ambiance is great the food beautiful and service first class wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

Have lunch with the family at this restaurant. Well received despite the slightly late hour, the dishes are very good and has a decent price. To note the existence at lunch a menu of the day with starter + main course + dessert has a price also very correct. A good address in Morzine

Had a lovely experience at La Chaudanne. We had the sharing platter of meat which we cooked ourselves and it came with a delicious salad, copious amounts of chips and a variety of sauces. The waiter was very friendly and efficient. Service was very professional and we had a great evening, finished off with a complimentary pear schnapps and sweet. Would recommend and would definitely love to go back.

Too expensive compared to the quality, it's making fun of the world.
Even the specialty, fondue, is not at the top!
The salad is bathed in oil.
And in terms of quantity, you don't have to be greedy.
A glass of white wine (a thimble) for €6.50, €9 for a beer.
More expensive than the French Riviera.

Navrés d'apprendre que la fondue ne vous a pas plu. Cependant, il aurait été plus judicieux de nous en faire part le jour J, nous aurions pu y remédier à ce moment-là.
Concernant les boissons, nos tarifs et quantités sont affichés en toute transparence. Nous proposons 18 références de vins au verre (blancs, rouges et rosés confondus) avec des tarifs oscillant de 4 à 10€. La quantité est indiquée : 12cl (soit plus qu'un dé à coudre...)
Quant aux bières, les tarifs vont de 3.90€ (bière pression) à 6.90€ (Karmeliet en bouteille). 9€ correspond à 1 leffe pression de 50cl, ce qui n'a rien d'abusif.... Je vous encourage vivement à aller voir les tarifs que pratiquent nos confrères, et vous verrez que nous sommes dans les prix du marché. Cordialement
