This place was recommended to us by our host. We really enjoyed the menu of the day, all three courses. The presentations are high French cuisine. But the real highlight is the proprietoress’ choice for wine of the day. We are just visiting the area...and didn’t know how to choose a wine. The daily wine choices were well chosen for us. Reservations recommended. Fine French food. The owner husband is the chef. The staff is very busy when the place fills up, so service is a little short. But we were ok with that.More

This place used to be great - good service and creative cuisine. It is now a pretty run-of-the-mill bistro. Food is ok and nothing more - last time I had food poisoning from thir St Jacques, this time I chose a steak à point, which...was cooked saignant... oh well, my wife had the sole meunier- which was served with potatoes- she asked if she could have vegetables, the waiter shrugged and suggested rice ... the young waiter is pretty rude and thinks he’s funny - he is not! We have been coming here for years as my father in law lives in Royan/ time to call it a day here!More

This restaurant offers plenty of dishes around fresh fish food with smart prices. I advise you tasting daily’s card entitled « mood(s) of cooking chief ». Enjoy this place that will propose you an inspired eating experience !

Food excellent. Waitress a bit brusque. Service far too slow. Victims of their own success as they tried to cater for a full house on the night of our visit.

Our menu of 25 euros was excellent with a good choice of interesting and delicious dishes. The service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Presentation was beautiful too.....no negatives.

We had dinner in this restaurant and it was excellent in every way. A warm welcome and a waiter who was keen to explain the chef's specials in detail ( in French and in English). Both our starters set a very high standard which was...easily equalled by the main and desert courses. The cod in particular was very fresh and cooked to perfection. Panacotta desert was smooth and the white chocolate sauce complemented rather than over powered the panacotta. We will certainly return next time we are in Royan.More

A good little restaurant offering French cuisine at moderate prices. Sit inside or outside. Some of the staff speak English. A popular restaurant in the shop complex overlooking the yachting harbour. Easy to miss so you need to be looking for it. Dark inside so...good for romantic meals. Sit outside in the warmer weather. Did not try the wines so do not know their wine list. Food very good. Service reasonable. I hope to pay this restaurant another visit soon. Of all the restaurants overlooking the yacht harbour, this is the one I would recommend.More

Has to be the best food and service we have ever had in over 25 years coming to this part of France.

We have eaten here many times and the standards remain extremely high. Fabulous food , good atmosphere , excellent service and tremendous value for money. It's great , love this restaurant.

At time of reservation they had run out of place inside so we accepted a table outside. Unfortunately it was rather cold and windy. The service started slow but once it got underway it was pretty smooth and friendly. The fixed price menu contains 4...items to choose from for starter, main course and desert and on top there's the "Humeur du chef". The choices are varied, a mixture of local classics and seafood, and the price/quality rating is good. Nice presentation also.More
