If you are on the quai Henri iv do check this restaurant. It is a small traditional family restaurant insitu since 1976. Madame serves alone and is utterly efficient and very friendly. Clearly she has had years to acquire her skills. The ambiance and decor is light and airy and modern. Food is classic French fayre. Very fresh with accompaignments... More

We had food here yesterday evening. We ordered a superb fish soup and and a massive plate of crevettes (13 on the plate). We the ordered turbot and plaice. The turbot came with mash potatoes and cress abd the plaice with boiled potatoes. Potates were not seasoned and the plaice was cooked with quite a lot of butter (typical French),... More

We have eaten in this restaurant many times in the past twenty five years. It is a very typical French restaurant serving excellent fish marks in the traditional French way. Madame has been there every time and whilst she may look like Victoria Wood's 'two soups' she runs a very good restaurant

I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anybody. The quality of the food is excellent: I had a seafood platter to start (which was absolutely gorgeous), chicken in lovely camembert sauce with mushrooms and diced potato as mains, and a cherry-flavoured ice with rice as dessert. The wine, too, was beautiful - crisp white wine, light but full of flavour... More

Open on Monday - when so many others are closed. Food is cooked to order, so you may have to wait a little while. Well presented high quality food and with an adequate quantity - not like the appalling portion control that we have come to associate with the so-called "Nouvelle Cuisine" that we have been conned with since the... Along the harbour thousands of English tourists are sucked into a host of restaurants where they are given moules/frites and overpriced cheap wine. What a pity. If they had only had the energy to walk to the end of the row and try this place they would have had a proper French meal. Madame (surely on her last legs) is... More

We arrived here through looking at other trip advisor reports and many other restaurants are not open on Mondays so it wasn't our first choice. However, we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is good, helped by the 'little old lady' who has owned the restaurant for 39 years and is a real character. Good food, good wines, good atmosphere -... More

The people who run this restaurant have done so for 39 years and whilst on the harbour, isn't the tourist trap it appears. We had a lovely €30 set meal and the host is delightful (the previously mentioned by other reviewers 'little old lady') and a real character. We were the only English people in the restaurant and were treated... More

The restaurant is run by an elderly lady, who is very friendly and professional. I have been here befroe and she overcharged me. I gave her the benifit of the doubt on that occasion. This time she seemed only to have the more expensive wines on the menu in stock, also when she brought the bread to accompany the meal... More
