Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What an amazing find! We were so pleasantly surprised to come across this little gem of a cafe. We popped in for coffee and dessert after a walk on the beach and just loved it. All homemade and a great selection on offer. We sneaked...a look at the food on tables nearby and everything looked fab and very reasonabley priced. We checked out the menu and we will definitely be back. You can bring your own wine, no corkage charge! Staff were so pleasant and accommodating and the decor is quirky and comfortable. This cafe is definitely worth a visit.More

A fabulous place to eat. Great service and high quality food. I had risotto. Gluten and dairy free and don’t eat meat. It was extraordinarily delicious. Amazing desserts. Food was so fantastic that we have eaten here 3 consecutive days. Coming again for breakfast in...the morning. This chef makes the best risotto I have ever eaten - and I have eaten all over the world. He is the best and so accommodating. Wonderful. Great atmosphere and great staff. Thank you DoreenMore

Immediately the staff were very welcoming and the service throughout our visit was excellent. The lunch selection was great and we all enjoyed our meals. Sadly we hadn't left room for their amazing range of desserts but we were delighted to have an excuse to...visit again and sample the delicious sweet treats. Definitely worth visiting The Red Door - excellent service, yummy food and lovely decor.More

We were passing through Carrig on a Saturday lunchtime and saw the Red Door. Even though we were walk-ins with no reservation, they were happy to seat us in the covered-dining area at the back. The guys are really friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and...the food is tasty and good value.More

What a lovely little cafe. Stayed in carrig on bannow for 2 nights at the norman festival. and used the red door for breakfast and dinner. When we arrived in, there were a lot of norman reenactment characters just after arriving and were sitting for...breakfast. We were shown to our seat and asked if we would mind waiting until the others had their breakfast served as they had booked. We said no, we would wait and we were brought down a pot of tea while we were waiting. Lovely people. Went back that night for dinner with another couple and the food was delicious. Sea food chowder, rack of lamb, fish, cofffee, all beautiful, and as they didnt serve alcohol, we could bring our own wine. Definitely recommend this cafe/restaraunt. Staff were really friendle and great for a bit of banter.More
