Amazing find, this little coffee & craft shop. Inside & outside seating (in covered area, blankets also provided!) dogs welcome in the outside area. Great menu of snacks, & an amazing selection of beautiful cakes. Prices are reasonable. Food freshly prepared & served with lovely fresh side salads. Will definitely be back! Craft shop had a great selection of reasonably... More

I wish I would follow my curiosity more often. I pass this shop and cafe almost on a daily basis but have never had time to go in. So on Sunday after a wonderful walk along the river Derwent we ended up in Curbar and decided to stop by for cake and coffee. We were pleased we did. The cafe... More

This cafe is linked to the Derbyshire Craft Centre. There is a range of food from snacks to main courses. The food was cooked well and tasty with decent portions. The prices are slightly higher than might be expected. There is an outside seating area. There is car parking nearby.

Brought my two best friends for brunch and I wasn't impressed. Having to order before you sit down isn't right - what happens if you buy your food but there is no space. I think the counter staff were a tad unfriendly or indifferent at best. Not having been before I asked where the spoons were - I was tutted... More

We have eaten twice here now. Both times the food has been fresh, tasty, well presented and served quickly and efficiently. There is a good menu selection with vegan and vegetarian options, a good range of homemade cakes and quality coffee. We will definitely visit again. This is not the cheapest cafe, but the quality is worth the price and... More

A group of us went to The Eating House following a walk on a Saturday. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. We had 3 dogs with us and sat in the covered area attached to the building. There were blankets on the chairs, water for the dogs and dog biscuits too. In our group we had two gluten intolerant... More

Delicious tea, coffee and cake stop on a 10 mile walk from Baslow via Curber and Froggarts Edge. Lovely service. Sat outside looking at the edge where we had walked earlier sipping on my tea gave me great satisfaction. Outdoor blankets were added bonus.

Stopped here at the weekend. An amazing menu with lots of Veggie and Vegan options. Was initially put off by the price (a little expensive) but the food was well worth it and looked and tasted beautiful. I had a Hummus, Olive and Sun Blushed Tomato Baguette which was massive, tasted rich and came with a beautiful side salad. Shall... More

Used this as a meeting place pre walk in the Peak District. Venue was rather crowded but we managed to find a seat and order. Unfortunately our order and was correct but not with a smile. The food was good and wholesome. Nice place just need to brush up customer skills
