We found this restaurant with the good comments from Trip advisor and indeed it makes sense to drive and enjoy this great good. In a middle of nowhere but lovely location and excellent food and a good price. I will come back for sure. The lunch menu was brillant for less than 25€.

Food was exquisite; wine very reasonable; service attentive and discreet; setting in a tranquill vineyard. Annual pilgrimage to this very special place of ours whenever we are in the Loire. Has not failed to impress us.

We often come to la Bergerie to buy wine (I recommend), but we never got around to thinking of booking a table at the small but beautiful restaurant in the property. Now it is done and we will come back! We chose a menu that is offered with different wines, from the Bergerie, for each dish!! I paid 200 Euros... More

Superb food, beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned and totally balanced. Delicious lemon risotto with monkfish followed by meltingly tender spring lamb and to finish, a caramel au beurre salé cream with caramelised apples and hazlenuts. There's a new lunchtime menu at 19€ for entrée, plat or plat dessert or 23€ for all three including a glass of wine and a coffee.... More

Beautiful little restaurant with aspirational cooking and the advantage of being on one of the best vineyards in Anjou with superb reds, savennieres whites, Sparkling wine and the sublime sweet Layon whites. Go for a wine tasting and buy the best value wines around which have cellaring potential and eat at the restaurant with beautiful views over the vines.

My favourable impression started when I emailed the restaurant to assure my friends their dietary requirements would be fulfilled. The reply came within about 10 minutes! The restaurant is linked to the next door winery (separate review) and features their wines on the wine list at very favourable prices. The 19 euro menu was wonderful value for two courses, a... Really fab place....views of the vineyard one way and directly into the kitchen is great. The food is amazing and you have a choice of 2 dishes for each course, plus you can add wind pairings. We love good food and wine so have high expectations but were certainly not disappointed. Great value too. We definitely recommend and suggest you... More

A tiny restaurant with very modern decor nestling in a vineyard with a view of vines from the windows. But you won't be looking at the view because you'll be enjoying the food which is wonderful and uses local ingredients. This is absolutely excellent modern French cooking, the best meal I've eaten in France in the last few years. Don't... More

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at La Table de la Bergerie. A beautiful sunny day set the scene and we were able to enjoy a glass of chilled Crémant in the garden overlooking the vineyards before coming in for our meal. It's true to say that the menu is limited which I see as a plus as the food is... More

The location is amasing, as is the wine. But there's very little choice of food and the amount you get is very little... not what you're looking at when travelling all day and you're looking forward to a fulfilling dinner. The food is very well prepared, but still we don't think is good value for money.
