Delicious food, gorgeous views and friendly staff. Staff are young and helpful and currently training so service will improve as the season goes on

The Loch & Quay has huge potential. Staff need designated roles, with someone on the bar to complete drinks orders and the other staff bussing the tables. The covers also need to be split between the servers so that they can focus on their guests,...as dirty plates being left on tables after some had been cleared, no cutlery, the chance to get more drinks or the bill is not great service. Designated roles among the kitchen staff would probably be an asset too. Food was average at best and took ages to arrive. Not enough plates for everyone in the party, to have some of the sharing starters. Interesting take on a “Mediterranean sharing platter”. Capstick blue cheese, Brie, cheddar, goats cheese. Couple of bits of shop bought salami prosciutto and chorizo, mango chutney and branston pickle. Sun blush tomatoes and mixed olives, all swimming in oil. Accompanied by a small baguette and a handful of assorted crackers that you find in any supermarket. Mains were good size pizzas (possibly even too big) with far too much topping. As a result the bases were soggy and the overall result was too rich. Still edible though. Mackerel salad was a great concept and I have to say that they were quality ingredients. More attention to removing bigger bones could only enhance the dish. Good selection of drinks at the bar, but a printed wine list would be good.More

We were staying in the Marina and ate here several times. Food was excellent, both evening meal and breakfast. Views across the Marina and up to the Orwell bridge are stunning, especially as the sun sets.

We have today returned from a trip on our boat. Stayed at woolverstone marina for three nights and ate at this restaurant every day. Each time the food was excellent the service good and the youngsters serving were great. We watched the semi final in...there last night they reserved a table for us and during half time they served pizzas, hot dogs and roast potatoes all free of charge. I was a fab place and cannot recommend it highly enoughMore

I took my girlfriend and my family here, the welcome was incredible with staff rushing to our service, drinks were served in very good time with a good range of drinks available. Food was then cooked in good time and was incredible, unmatchable portion sizes...and absolutely outstanding quality, will most definitely recommend this to other people. Some lovely photos were taken with an incredible setting, the staff working here are very fortunate for such a lovely venue and boss.More
