My friend and I stopped there for lunch. It was a nice surprise to see that it was a dog friendly pub. The food was lovely. I had steak, french frie chips and salad. My friend had octopus, salad and chunky chips. I got to taste the octopus which was nice ( I normally dont eat seafood). The staff were... More

We took a group of friends here for lunch after they'd stayed over for a dinner party the night before. We ordered a mixture of food from the duck wrap, which I'm told was superb, to a a gourmet burger, this was very good, but be warned its huge, and my husband 's choice of the trio of pork dish,... Called in here recently for lunch and what a nice place it is. Sat at a table overlooking the river. Very friendly staff and good food obviously freshly prepared.

Hadn't been to this pub/restaurant for many years & decided to visit when looking for a dog friendly place to have lunch near to our home. Not much has changed internally since our last visit of probably 15years ago. Very cosy traditional pub. We had booked for Sunday lunch time & as we had a dog with us were seated... More

Made to feel welcome, attentive staff, food was tasty and good value. Worth a visit if in the area. On "special days" it is probably better to book first.

7 of us recently had lunch at the Woolpack to use our 10% off vouchers that we were given after we had visited for our pre-xmas meal together. Yet again, the food we chose was very good and very plentiful. I had a tasty home-made Chicken pate to start with, followed by Cannelloni (the Cannelloni could have been slightly hotter... More

Last minute booking for New Years Day lunch and we were very impressed! Service was prompt, the food was hot and nicely presented and good value. We sat in the conservatory overlooking the garden with the river running through - shame it was raining!

Arriving with a dog -instead of feeling like they were doing us a favour to "allow" the dog, our four legged friend was positively welcomed. The Landlord's dog was also well behaved and welcoming and it was a treat to watch them socialise. Dog given a bag of treats and there was also a dog menu to choose from. The... More

I sorted through various pubs serving meals on the Internet which accept dogs so that my husband and I could have a meal at leisure without worrying about our two dogs being shut up in the back of the car. I decided on the Woolpack as it wasn't too far from where we were staying and their menu seemed more... More

chocolate box setting in the heart of Sopley. Thatched cottage pub on the edge of the New Forest serving seasonal meals that have been sorced from local butchers and fruit growers. We have warm and friendly staff ready to take care of your every need. The log burner in the bar is ready to keep you cosy and warm on the cold winters day.
