We arrived at Patones de Arriba late on Friday night and our host offered to try and procure some food from this restaurant as it was just next door to our lodgings. Her request was greeted with displeasure and an unfriendly reply. When she explained...that we had been travelling all day and were very hungry he reluctantly agreed to prepare a cold dish (fair enough as the kitchen had actually just closed). This dish (tuna salad with a side plate of ham) was duly served as a take away. With 2 beers and a Coke the bill was 48 Euro!! That was the most expensive meal in the whole of our trip. The food was pleasant enough but the attitude and rip-off price meant that we did not return. Their loss at the end of the day.More

The service and ambience are excellent and the food is pretty amazing too! We loved the more traditional dishes of salmorejo and lamb.

My boyfriend and I had dinner at El Poleo as we were staying in the hotel which is connected to the restaurant. It was absolutely lovely! The ambiance was superb. We were seated near the fireplace which was cosy and romantic on a cold winter...night. The service and the food were first class. We ordered a salad, lamb with couscous, cod, a typical dessert from the region and coffee. Everything was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back.More
