Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Undrinkable coffee and staff kept repeatedly banging into my daughter's high chair. The space has so much potential but felt cold when we visited. Food was fine. When I went to pay at the counter a staff member was blowing her nose and then proceeded...to bag up pastries for a customer - in this day and age is utterly unacceptable. Won't return.More

Well done on new venue. Lovely ambiance, tgo do understand concerns re heating. Not an easy space to heat, but, today, lovely. That with general ambiance, airiness ( I know, but it was mild today), great friendly staff, and, above all, tasty well presented meals....Thank you, will be backMore

Here this morning for breakfast with friends, food great, staff lovely but if you sit anywhere near door you'll die from the cold draught that will whip the legs off you. I am regularly there with different friends and each time I go I live...in hope of the place being a bit warmer, I'm not sure if there's any type of heating in it and the old school shape with high ceilings doesn't help.I hate having to eat with my coat and scarf still on . Maybe a spring on the inside door might help to keep it closed or an over the door heater. To be fair there are signs asking customers to close the door behind them, our observations so far is that does not happen. The cold today there made our gathering so miserable that we didn't stay for seconds on the coffee. Have mentioned all of this on numerous occasions to staff but it appears to have fallen on deaf ears.More

A group of us had well-earned coffee & scones in the Rye River Cafe today after our Parkrun. Thanks for the good-humoured helpful service. It is a beautiful spot but it is the service that makes it extra special.

This was a great little place when it was on the bridge but since moving to the bigger and fancier premises it has gone downhill. It started off great when it reopened but since then the food and service have declined. It's a victim of...its success. The food is slow to arrive, but at least they tell you in advance about the waiting time, however it is then dried out - obviously left sitting under lamps before serving. The food that arrives is often not what you ordered but as the wait is so long you just take it. Also be careful when paying as I was over charged on a couple of occasions but only realised later. Many less tables and more attention to detail would be better.More

Great friendly service with lots of people working buzzing around. Everyone had a smile on their face and were very welcoming. Got a smokehouse burger and southern fried chicken wrap to go. The burger was genuinely one of the tastiest I’ve had in a while...- crispy bacon and delicious relish really made it. Beef was a good mix of smashed and normal. Chicken wrap was amazingly tasty and did not need one extra ingredient - the perfect mix. Will definitely be back again.More

Ordered two hash dishes as well as pancakes, both hash’s came out missing tomatoes and onions which were listed on the menu and we highlighted this to the waitress.. she discussed this with the chef and came back and gave us raw onions and tomatoes...in a cup to which I nearly laughed in shock.. raw food given for a hot dish.. in the end we had a word with the supervisor who took the drinks off which was around a fiver and never offered to remove even one of the hash dishes off the bill.. I also found it baffling that they never offered to replace the meal with the correct one at the time or even asked were we happy to continue with the meal with the missing ingredients.. the supervisor mentioned that there must’ve been a miscommunication with the kitchen and the waitress but how could the chef forget the main ingredients for a dish listed on the menu and provide raw ingredients for a hash dish?! Too many excuses and the lack of experience really showed between the waitress and supervisor.. disappointing experience because the food was decent.More
