Soon after leaving Italy 20 years ago I learnt to avoid Italian restaurant in the USA. I cannot take fettuccine Alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs (neither one would ever be offered in Italy), chicken "milanesa" (what is that), or anything else that Americans expect to find in an Italian restaurant. I was therefore very skeptical of La Piazza, but my parents,... More

Our family recently returned from Christmas and New Years in Telluride. Originally we had been booked in Cortina d'ampezzo but due to poor snow we switched last minute and couldn't have been more pleased. We are an Italian/Romanian family and very particular about food since we cook in our own home and split time between the States and Italy. When... More

The restaurant was so close to the Madeline Hotel. Service was great as well as the wine selection. The food was amazing. We went with our 2 kids who loved the home made pasta so much that they asked for a second serving. Their home made gelato was wonderful. Would definitely go back.

We had a fantastic experience here. The wait staff was over the top and the food was high quality and well prepared. They also offer half portions for the kids, so you do not waste food or $$$. The location is perfect when staying in the Mountain Village area. Also a great place for lunch!

Stefano and his team, Johnny, Angelo, Luca, Josh and others made our Christmas Eve dinner a magical night. I ordered the ahi tuna which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My friends ordered the ravioli and the gnocchi, which tasted amazing. We sat at the table by the fireplace. The ambience was warm, cozy and romantic. We had a wonderful and... More

It was my birthday and I wanted to celebrate it in the best restaurant in the area, so after checking reviews and asking locals, I chose La Piazza. Gianni was very welcoming and attentive, his service was impeccable! I had Black Angus carpaccio, so tender that was melting in my mouth! Then I had veal stuffed ravioli with a porcini... More

We were there on a quiet evening. Service was excellent. Gianni was a delight. Our food arrived quickly and was hot and delicious. The Linguine Mare was very good. We would not recommend the Agnolotti di Granchio e Asparagi. The ravioli in this dish had minimal, thin crab stuffing. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. I would highly... More

The past two free concert nights, which were pretty rainy, we dived into La Piazza, the pizza side of the restaurant, and were so pleasantly surprised by the quality and deliciousness of the pizza we had that we went back and had the exact same pizza the next week. The majority of it's seating is on a massive outdoor patio... More
