You can build the best place, with top furniture, but if you have the most unprofessional and rude employee you’ve got nothing. We suggest to avoid, specially if you’re Italian.

After spending the morning hiking in the mountains, we needed a meal in Pontresina at a time when nothing else in town was open (between 2 pm & 6 pm off-season). We were so pleased with their food & service that we came back the...next day too! It's a wonderful restaurant with terrific pasta dishes (& other items) that were not only delicious but filling. I heartily recommend the bruschetta, pea soup, burrata pesto tomato salad, tagliolini pesto, & tagliolini with cheese, potato, & crispy cabbage. An order of rotwein risotto was not as successful, but I'm kicking myself for not trying the apple & white wine risotto. Our server Jan was a joy & rightfully takes pride in what comes from the kitchen. We'd happily return even if every other restaurant in town was open. Bravo! Hint: to avoid disappointment, reserve ahead during normal meal hours & ask for an outdoor table on the terrace if the weather is right for it.More
Attentive and warm service, excellent menu with both regional and wild game selections. Our selections were both attractive and delicious. Our server suggested the smaller portion for my wife and she was correct, it was plenty filling. If we had stayed another night in Pontresina,...we would have returned to try other menu items.More
Stylish, but not over the top. Great set up. The mixed salad with blueberry dressing was fresh and refreshing. Our risotto Prosecco with green apples was delicious. Perfect as it was, it could compete in any “haute cusine” competition. The wild boar meat was good....But nothing to write about. Desserts were excellent. Gianotti’s Wilderei is really to recommend. And if you don’t follow the staff recommendations, but select from the menu what attracts you most, you’ll have a memorable lunch or dinner.More
This is a great place. The food is outstanding but even better are the wines. The owner ask you to describe your wine taste and based on this he brings you three wines which he explained in detail.
Great food in nice setting. Enjoyed the BBQed vegi on white bread with molten Wallis Raclette cheese over it.
Perfect, good choice of wines! Good ambiance and love the decoration (specially the walls) Food very good I highly recommend
Good food, good wine and very cosy. It’s perfect, also only for an apero. They have also very good chocolate...
We had an amazing meal here. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to be accommodating. Nothing was too much or an inconvenience. The food was absolutely incredible and so tasty. We would definitely go back here without a second thought.
The welcome was friendly and the ambience was pleasant. How ever that is were the positives end. The waitress/owner was most surprised when I said that I did not want a drink, I said I was driving. I ordered the Parmesan Risotto, I was not...asked if I wanted any sides at all. The taste of the Risotto was flavoursome with the cheese but although the rice should be al dente, it was undercooked, had to the bite and tasted extremely chalky. I did mention this at the end, as I was not given a check back to see if all was OK. I had left half of it, and I mentioned what I thought was wrong with the food. The waitress/owner asked if I was American, I asked why? She said that the American said the same, and said that the rice was cooked and we have " The best Risotto in town" The male owner, said, you can have it cooked more if you want. Well, if this is the best, then I dread to think what else is being served in this town. I was not asked if I wanted a dessert or a coffee either. So paying the full price for a plate of undercooked food was a rip off....More
