After a brisk cold walk through the picturesque town of Soest, my companions and I headed into the beautiful and cozy Im Wilden Mann for some warmth and sustenance. The barkeep had his lunch waiting for him, and I immediately asked him what that wonderful dish was. It was the famous Wilden schnitzel with mushrooms. All three of us ordered... More

Lovely old fashioned restaurant. I was there for the xmas market, which was right outside. Staff were excellent and the food was superb.

The food in the Wilden Mann is mostly typical Westphalian hearty fare big on sausages, schnitzels and beacon, but vegetarian options are easily available. I had field beans in a sauce with lots of bacon, a mettwurst sausage and a marinated porc chop Kasseler style, served in a pan with a generous helping of green cabbage and other vegetables. Everything... More

We did not stay in the hotel, but had a lunch in the restaurant. Friendly service and a decent meal. No Michelin stars, yet a real German menu (sausages, schnitzels, potatoes/fries, fresh vegetables). And they also have lighter vegetarion options. "Rahmwisinger" was new to us. We tried and liked.

Stopped off at this hotel/restaurant in the square in the alstatte in soest. It had tables and chairs outside ideal for the summer in Germany. The wife and myself perused the menu which was supplied by a very attentive waitress, good i thought seen's as they were quite busy. Drinks ordered and delivered as we sorted out a couple of... Wandered into the main square of Soest to find a great restaurant/pub with great staff! We asked for some traditional German meals without using the menu, where we were quickly served a variety of meats, steaks and sides that were happily polished off! The beer flowed with the food and the staff could not do enough for us, also taking... More

We were in town to visit our friends birthplace and stumbled on this restaurant while we were simply strolling around. Lunchtime came and we found ourselves here; the interesting part was that our friend had a photo of his mother standing beside this very site over 50 years before! The staff was friendly and the schnitzel was great; we ate... More

Nice old Building in the middlöe of Soest. The staff is proffessional. The food is excellent for that cheap price! Directly at the marketplace of the old historic town of Soest.

We had a diner at the Im Wilden Mann Gasthof when visiting the very nice city of Soest, which has the typical German "Fachwerk" buildings. The place is cosy and has typical German dishes on the menu. The price/quality relation is excellent. We had a very good 3 course diner with 4 people for less than 100 Euro
