My brother was in town so we took a drive along the Rhine to view the many castles. Along our route we stopped at Schönburg Castle for lunch. I must say it was the perfect stop, and now I am planning on taking my wife...More

We stayed here for two nights the week before Christmas! Despite a shaky start (there was a mixup with our reservation and we were ushered into the wrong room), this was probably the highlight of our Christmas tour of Germany! After being shown our correct...More

We enjoyed the four course meal (included with our room rate). It was an excellent preparation of venison. Dessert was first class as well.

Food was very good. It was priced about right. Our 4 course meal was $45 per person. We added the wine option to get various regional wines with each course.

We visited this castle hotel in March, 2017 with our four children (ages 5-11) and it was everything you'd hope a castle hotel will be. Authentic feeling with a Disneyland level of attention to detail and staff whose care and concern takes it over the...More

We stayed in the hotel and walked down to dinner. The dining room was beautiful and the service quietly efficient. Every course was consistently delicious and perfectly prepared. The wines were local and tasty and the after dinner brandy by the fireplace was a highlight...More

I have only had dinners there. Was there 2 different years. I would say the meals are a little more then a normal restaurant in that area. But the castle and the views make up for it.

What is the dress code for dining?

Response from Barbara I | Reviewed this property |
It is an elegant place so I think is appropriate to dress nicely,i.e. a pair of slacks (not jeans) or a skirt/dress for women. Men need not wear a tie. People come here for special occasions so you want to look presentable.
