I have been there with my wife on the way to Paris. We were just looking for a place to eat and we found this restaurant on the way by chance. And WOW! From outside, it doesn't look anything but normal small restaurant. One step inside and BAMMM, you start your best dream ever. Super cosy and charming typical french... More

The food was excellent apart from the meat that I had which was really overcooked and dry. Some of the waiters appeared to be very rushed and not very customer oriented or friendly. Maybe this is how they deal with foreigners?

We entered this restaurant with high expectations as it possesses a Michelin star. We were not disappointed by the food, although service left something to be desired. One can get 4 courses for about 45 EUR or 5 for about 55 EUR (I.e. Both a meat and a fish main course). My mussels were delicious and cooked in an interesting... More

Visit the restaurant with my family to celebrate my wives 50th anniversary. When booking table I did mention that in my mail. On arriving we seated in the main part of this beautiful restaurant. After a coupe of champagne we ordered the big menu with a very helpful waiter. The food and service were fantastic, the different courses and wine... More

Countless reviews start off with Queen Elizabeth dining here in 1987 Another guest around then was your very humble colleague who lived close by and smugly asserted to the owner the story was a PR stunt. I then followed his gaze to the framed letter from the Palace on the wall in the dining room. Many diners say great, deserving... More

While staying 10 days in the Calvados, we chose to go back for the second time in a week to Le Dauphin. If I lived here I would go as often as possible. The food is absolutely delicious and the welcome warm. I have never had a better warm foie gras dish -- cooked with vinaigre de Xeres (a sherry... More

I've visited this restaurant with fourteen (!) of my friends. Between the courses we wanted to shift seats, so everyone could have conversation with different people. At first there was some hesitation with te host, because a mixing-up of the ordered dishes was feared. But then a big table was quickly arranged by virtually all the staff in a nice... More

This was our fifth visit to the restaurant as we now make a point of dining here if we are staying in any part of Normandy! We have never had a dish that was not superb and we have tried different dishes on every visit. The room is small and intimate, the service efficient and unobtrusive and the prices very... More

We (6) stopped for lunch driving from Paris to Cricqueville and found the location and meal to be perfect. All entrees were well received as was the wines and deserts. It was the first of many meals over ten days in Normandy and one of the best. The service was excellent and most attentive. Well deserving of a star. We... More

The menu is full of really delectable dishes from pigeon in his pastry cage to kidneys and sweetbreads in delicious sauce. The quality and the presentation of our lunch together with impeccable service and chilled Brouilly made it a seriously important, and increasingly rare find and one not to be missed.
