We had a great view of the Sea of Galilee. The fish was good. It was fun to see some friends have their first "whole fish" experience. The staff were friendly. We enjoyed the meal and overall experience.

We stopped at this restaurant as part of a tour so we didn’t have too much choice. My husband is vegetarian , he was told there was a vegetarian option but ended up with just a salad from the buffet. I chose the fish but...I was charged for the salad buffet and desert,. The menu was 80 shekels and it included coffee and desert (dates). The coffee was dish water served in tiny plastic glasses, no choice of milk or sugar. It was absolutely disgusting. When I asked about the dates, they started shouting at me asking for the money. Eventually after I paid they came with a small plate with 5 dates for a table of 10 people! I hope the tour operator reads thieve reviews and decides not to use this restaurant any more. Shame, because it is situated in an idyllic place.More
We went here with a group and the fish was dry and not really tasty. Salad was ok. But before we finished our main dish, they came already with coffee and the bill. They tried to get the whole group out of this restaurant within...45 minutes. It was really busy, you got enough salad which was ok, but the rest was not super. Because of the rushing I cannot give it more stars or points. The whole restaurant is filled with groups. I cannot recommend this.More
Just a normal fish, no fantastic flavour, bland, add own salt.......not worth for the price. Not recommended
Separating the restaurant review from the fact that you are in such a historic location is hard. The restaurant itself caters to bus tours so large parties are the norm which can and does create chaos. Missed orders or requests occurred with our group but...again that's par for the course with this type of location. The food was good, served hot and nice portions. The view out is great, over looking the sea, helping to imagine yourself back in time. Definitely worth the experience to eat fish from here.More
It was heavy raining but the kind staff turned all into a delightful staying. Excellent cooking, very nice presentation, lovely salads and atmosphere. Fish with or without bones, but their taste and symbol made all astonishing. And again, the salads, so many, so colored and...rich in all possible vegetables. Adorable, I hardly wait to return there.More
Our tour bus group stopped here for lunch. We had Talipia, fresh from the Sea of Galilee. I ordered the whole fish, which I had never done before. The restaurant is located by the waters' edge and is picturesque. The staff was friendly and efficient....It was a great experience.More
While the location on the Sea of Galilee is outstanding, this tourist trap offered a nice salad bar and overcooked fish, greasy fried fish and a ridiculously high price. With multiple tour groups coming in and out, the noise was uncomfortable. Considering the clientele, they...did an "OK" job, but I'd recommend finding a local shop for local fare... probably better prepared and less costly. By the way, this venue is NOT ADA compliant - I watched elderly, blind, and impaired people struggle with the 2-3 story staircase without an alternative entry/exit place.More
Popular restaurant, nice location, good salad bar BUT the price for lunch is outrageous for what you get.
No wheelchair access; we came down the slope to be dropped off as it is impossible to go down in a wheelchair, and there is no access into it. The man who came out was incredibly, exceptionally rude. (Ironically it is a popular stop off...for Christian pilgrims looking to follow in the supposed footsteps of Jesus. Looks like a clear breach of Israeli accessibility law, the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities 2013, 968 (Service Accessibility Adjustments)Regulations - complaint made!!More
I was happy to have the choice to have my fish without the bones! It was a decent meal considering the large crowds they served. It was also a great place to walk down to put your feet into the Sea of Galilee.
We enjoyed our lunch with a great view over the Sea of Galilee, as we arrived before a sea of tourists invaded the place :). We ordered the St Peter's fried fish, which came with a salad buffet (a big variety, all delicious), coffee and...fresh dates. The price is quite decent too (80 NIS)More
The buffet offered was decent. The St Peters fish was something to see because you were on the Sea of Galilee and at the St Peters restaurant. I suggest this restaurant, not only for food, but you can walk in the Sea of Galilee upon...finishing your meal. It’s a beautiful location and was a highlight of my visit to Israel. Highly recommended.More
We went here with our tour group. The view was gorgeous on the sea of Galilee. The food was good. The crowds made the experience a bit less enjoyable with the tables packed in there. They definitely do a good business to have them all...so full! . The grilled fish was very good.More
I read the reviews and many seemed mixed. I have to say, I really enjoyed this. It was included with our tour and we were given the usual choices as the other tour groups: fried, whole tilapia; baked, de-boned talapia; or kabobs. A few of...us were adventurous and got the fried, whole tilapia. I LOVED it. I feel Jesus would not have had His baked and de-boned, so I didn't either. :) I am also an adventurous eater so I ate things like the eyes of the fish as well (not adventurous in some cultures). The buffet had the usual fare for the region with pita and hummus (fantastic hummus) and various cold salads. Those who got the baked fish and tried mine said it was definitely more flavorful. If you've never eaten a whole fish before, quick tip: Take your fork and scrape along the outside. This will pull the meat away from the bones. Try it. It's worth it.More
