Ate here five days in a row as staying nearby. Wonderful food , hot as I like it , fresh veg and fish , yummy ice cream . Local beer served just as it should be . Great staff . My favourite wine , pity we don't live closer ! Stayed for Easter Quiz , great fun .

We stopped for supper on our way down to Cornwall. They couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Very friendly atmosphere, good food and great beer and cider!

Four of us dined on a very busy Saturday evening. The were a couple of large groups and apart from the landlady only one member of staff serving ...who was excellent despite the pressure. The food is good pub grub gammon and chips, lasagne, homemade beef and ale pie and a crab salad. Not amazing but nonetheless enjoyable. Good value... More

Chucking it down on Friday 4th Feb 2017 but a very warm welcome on our first visit to The Lamb Inn at Longdown near Exeter. I soon realized that this was a popular place judging by the few spaces left in the car park at 12.30. Four of us for lunch, just as well we had reserved a table. Extensive... More

First to arrive at this lovely village pub on a Saturday lunchtime but it soon started filling up. Our starters, brie wedges and garlic mushrooms, were a great way to start our meal, and the mains (chicken new yorker and liver and bacon) were very tasty. The side salads were undressed but we were offered a balsamic dressing which was... More

Last visited the Lamb in June 2016, went back to ensure it wasn't a one off. Again we were made most welcome, including the dogs. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble to accommodate my wife's restrictive diet. Food was excellent, served in good time and was reasonably priced. My pet hate of rock hard butter packs straight from the... More

We have gone here for an evening meal quite a few times but decided to try their Sunday roast. What a lovely treat. The owners and staff are always so friendly and attentive. The roast is the best we have had in a very long time. The vegetables were all fresh and the meat was delicious. We totally enjoyed it... More
