This really is a gem of a place. They specialise in traditional dishes such as raclette, fondue and a slow cooked hotpot of sausages, ham and veg. Everything comes with the freshest of lettuce and a beautiful dressing and the nicest potatoes which must have been boiled in stock or something- divine. Service was very efficient and time was taken to make sure someone who doesn’t drink alcohol had something nice to drink. The pudding menu is lovely too, features amazing ice creams, meringue. The coffee is good. The bit that is hard to convey is the beautiful surroundings. Care and attention is obvious- it is almost cave like. The linens are antique and starched, there is an antique kitchen with a table you can eat at next to a beautiful vintage stove. It was like going back in time. Authentic, family owned and run with care and attention and a drive to preserve tradition. We immediately booked to go again during the week as a 2. Our i original experience was as a part of 7 and we were very well looked after

We enjoyed this restaurant so much on our first night that we booked to go back a second time (during a 3 night trip). The fondue with mushrooms is out of this world. The service is great. Cant wait to go back next season!

Excellent raclettes and fondues, in an amazing vaulted cellar, very beautiful and cozy setting, with oustanding staff. Our evening started with an apéretif at a large table in the front room at the fire place, later we were moved to the table. It was a magical evening.

The restaurant specialises in local Savoyarde dishes to share - raclette and fondue - so not ideal unless you like cheese. But they do these well.
We were a long pre-booked table of twelve and had a mixture of raclette and cheese fondue, which come with charcuterie, potatoes and lettuce. Well, eventually.
Four times my sister (the French speaking one) had to get up from the table to hunt for a waitress to chase up a missing dish, long awaited wine, etc. etc. as they simply never came to our alcove.
I stood for over five minutes waiting to pay the bill, and there was not a single member of staff in evidence anywhere outside the kitchen.
Shame, as the frequent delays spoiled our enjoyment of the meal, and we were entitled to expect a bit better at €50+ / head.
And not good business for the owners. We would have drunk plenty more bottles of high margin wine if they had only be able to serve it to us!
Anyway, assuming this was a temporary staff shortage, the restaurant kitchen does know how to do the local dishes, and they are always fun if in a group.

Fruitier is a resto and shop - its where we buy our cheese for home made fondue as well as take our Brit friends for the full French/Swiss Carnoze fondue experience. Super Resto - but you have to book in advance.

Best cheese fondue ever. Unforgettable. Comes with cold meats, salad, potatoes, cornichons, pickled onions, the works... perfect and uncomplicated. Way better than the more touristy places on the main strip, or in any other restaurant we have visited anywhere else alpine. Good local wine list, well priced. Authentic vibe. Super nice staff. Adjoining shop has super array of house made and other cheese, sausage/salami, and other local produce. Stock up!

Did i mention this place is amazing ... well it is. Wonderful location, wonderful restaurant decor, wonderful waitress and amazing fondue ... we were really full ... reasonably priced wine list. Fondue was fantastic ... we had the fondue with mushrooms at EUR 26 per person (EUR 24 pp for traditional fondue) but it was delicious and the kids had a brilliant time (it was their first fondue and they have already asked to return). This particular restaurant is worth every penny / cent and is highly recommended. Enjoy ...

We visited for dinner and had a great time. We had the Raclette and the Reblochon cheese, and the volume of food for the money we paid was incredible. The food comes with bread, charcuterie, boiled potatoes and salad. Loved both types of cheese (but slightly prefered the reblochon). We also had the raspberry meringue for pudding which was incredible, and the perfect end to a great meal. This is definitely a must-do if you are staying in Les Gets!

Start with some olives, cold meats and aperol while your table is set.
A selection of cold meats, potatoes, salad, bread, cornichos and pickled onions. Generous serving of the most delicious raclette cheese! The whole raclette method is an experience in itself! Amazing night!

They make their own cheese which sets the scene for dinner in rustic surroundings.
Mushroom fondue was chosen which was fantastic. Accompanying the fondue is a plate of charcuterie, boiled potatoes and salad. A lot of cheese is given with the heart saying no but the brain saying yes to the cheesy goodness.
We liked it so much we came back for another night this time having the raclette. Just as delectable with the same side dishes.
Would say booking is essential as it was very busy both nights we were there.
Would happily go back there and have fondue again.
The staff were friendly enough as well.

As they make all their own cheese, where could you possibly get a better fondue? We chose the classic with mushrooms which was exceptional. To accompany the fondue, there is a huge plate of charcuterie, together with a large bowl of salad, a giant pot of new potatoes and a vast amount of bread. Friendly service, traditional surroundings and wonderful food. Booking is a must as it's packed with locals (so it must be good).

If you love history and you love cheese Fruitière des Perrières is definitely not to be missed during your stay. The cheese is locally made right next door to the restaurant. The restaurant looks like it is in a rustic style barn.
The restaurant used to be the family cheese making factory but it is now a new factory right next door and turned the old one into a restaurant.
I have been here a few times in winter and I always enjoy the cheese.

We visited this great local restaurant with our 2 children (2 and 6) whilst staying in Les Gets. I admit we were a little nervous as some of the reviews seem to say that the place was not child friendly. However we all had a great time!
The food was delicious, we had the simple fondue that was served with a plate of cold meat, bread and boiled potatoes, all of which were delicious. We shared the fondue for 2 between all 4 of us and there was more than enough and our waitress said that we would be able to order more meat or cheese for a small additional charge if we needed extra (which we didn't). We had a bottle of mid-range white savoyard wine, which tasted great.
We had a variety of desserts all of which went down well.
The service throughout was attentive and the waitress was good with the kids. Although we had a good time, families should be aware that there is no kids menu and as it is France, your kids would be expected to sit still and behave at the table as it is a small space that is usually full.
If you are in Les Gets then this place is a must and is different to all of the other places in town.
