We had a wonderful dinner here. Prawns were delicious and my husband raved about his fillet steak. I can highly recommend the baked Camembert as a starter but I think we could have shared this!! Nice atmosphere and knowledgeable helpful staff. We will definitely eat here again (going back for the lamb!)

This is a small warm restaurant in the heart of the village serving traditional French food but on another level from many of the others. The chef was in and around the restaurant actually caring that people got what they wanted and enjoyed his food. Was in France 10 days and this was by far the best dinner I had.... More

We have chosen La Porte d'A Cote because of comments and high grades. Everything was much better than we thought it will be. Delicious food, restaurant service was pleasant, prices were affordable. We dream to visit La Porte d'A Cote in the future!

We made a reservation by e-mail for our group of 28 people. Franck replied very friendly and quick on my e-mails and several questions. On the day itself the reception by Franck was very friendly and welcoming. Very fast our group had water and wine on the table and the menu was served. We could each order individually which was... I had lunch in this restaurant. It has 50 places inside and a small terrace in the centre of Les Deux Alpes. I enjoyed the "menu du jour" with a good glass of red wine. The mozarello salad was ok, but not more than that. Everything felt and tasted "wet" as if this dish had been made already hours before.... More

The food and service will not disappoint. The appetizer and escargot was out of this world. The two who were there were a husband and wife team and she spoke food English with great tips about France

On a cheeky end of season weekend away, we decided to try La Porte d'a Cote as it was close to our accommodation and we hadn't been there before. The welcome was warm and friendly and were were seated at a table for many when there were only 2 of us. We decided to go for the cheese fondue with... More

We visited here after looking at reviews on tripadvisor and it did not disappoint. We came about 9:30 in the evening and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table as it was full. The owner showed us to a long table with another couple sat at one end, there was still more than enough room for us. We... More

Unassuming from the outside but well worth the visit. Friendly staff and service (free taxi to our chalet). We went for dinner but the lunch deal looked good too. Recommended.
