Really enjoyed our meal here. Very friendly staff and fondue was great. We made the mistake of having an entree. Delicious but all the portions are enormous so we struggled with the fondue and stuck with (delicious) ice cream for dessert. Chocolate fondue would have been a step too far, alas

It is definitively the best restaurant in the area. Reservations are necessary but the food is exquisite and cooked with obviously very fresh products from the area. The plate presentation is fantastic and in good quantity. Be careful when you order to keep some space for desert! dessert is made in the same, very high quality. Very professional and friendly... Dined here tonight with 2 friends. It was almost empty when we came in but soon filled up. We had the Fondue Savoyade Royal and very nice it was too. It was washed down by a great catalan wine La Farge cuvee Nicolas 100% grenage noir. Delicious! The ambience was great, the owner was very friendly and we had a... More

A fleeting visit to Font Romeu and the second time at La Fromagerie in as many years. A really enjoyable night out in this very popular and slightly quirky restaurant. Good service and great food, albeit pricey. A good family night out.

Weird ceiling is the best thing about this place. The whole ceiling is grass-like with trees, rivers etc - like something from Teletubbies or Lord of the Rings. I guess we made the wrong choice for grub (Steak Frites) which was OK, but if you're in a ski resort I guess you don't go for haut cuisine. Other dishes looked... More

Enjoyed the restaurant and the food was general of a good standard but €44 for a cheese fondue for 2! Crazy price and wasn't very tasty, just served with a few potatoes and cold meat...this must be one of the cheapest plates to offer...I guess the tourists just call for it every time as we did!

It's called the fromagerie for a reason - about 80%? of the menu is cheese. But fine. Like a good theatre, the show starts the moment you get inside (actually the moment you look through the window), with a fantastic upside down 3D seascape on the ceiling. Then the staff put on a bit of a show, while at the... More

We dropped in, a family of five and got a table within a few minutes in this busy restaurant. Probably better to reserve if possible. The menu can please everyone and in our case the age from 6 to 40 plus. The pizzas and pastas are good quality and the children loved them. The parents had a very good steak... More

We went for a meal here on a busy Saturday night in august (having booked the day before). The meal was amazing, we had cheese fondue followed by chocolate fondue which the kids loved! We were pretty proud of ourselves eating a lovely cheese fondue only to be upstaged by what can only be described as a flaming meat skewer... More
