Catalan cuisine makes for an interesting and diverse menu. We had an excellent, fish entrées and main courses. Lovely crisp house rosé. Apéros, 3 courses and wine for two under €100. Ignore the unprepossessing frontage; skip the odd décor in the interior; and go to the lovely bamboo outdoor terrace at the back (plenty of shade if that's what you... More

A friend wanted to take us out for a meal in January and because most of our favourite restaurants in Spain were closed we accepted a recommendation to this restaurant from a Ceret resident. We went for a lunch and the welcome from the staff was very effusive and the service was prompt and accurate unfortunately three of us chose the... Good Menu, a good taste of catalan style. Specially "crema catalana" as a home made desert . Worth a visit, not only in summer, but also in cold winter.

We really enjoyed sunday lunch at this restaurant. Great choice of menus. The autumn salad with chestnuts, foie gras, smoked duch breast and apple was delicious. Also the venison steak in a chestnut crust - wonderful. In fact it was all delicious. And a good 100% carignan wine to go with it. What more could you want?

We took my cousin and his wife here on our last night in Ceret. The food and the wine were superb. The service was good. Would not hesitate in visiting again.

Four of us had dinner here on a Friday evening. My wife and I were staying with friends who live in Ceret for much of the year and are very familiar with Al Catala. We had booked a table in the garden - it was a warm evening and hardly anyone was eating inside. We had an excellent meal, with... More

I have been to Al Catala twice recently. Once with three friends for lunch when the welcome was warm, the service efficient and friendly and the food very good. We ate outside in the secluded covered courtyard. A very enjoyable experience. The second visit was with a French class celebration. We ate inside and again received very friendly and courteous... The place looks VERY boring when you come from the street. So much that we have went past a couple on our visit to Ceret without knowing there could be a good restaurant inside. This all changes when you get in. There is a beautiful garden in the back where you can sit. Food and everything is excellent. Very good... More

We always come to eat here when staying near Ceret. The owner and all his staff are friendly and charming(and don't seem to mind my terrible french!) The food as ever was lovely. The veloute of cucumber was delicious as was the duck. The menu has a good choice of regional dishes. My husband had the bols de picolat and... More

There is a garden at the back of the restaurant which offers a haven of peace. The service is always good, very friendly and welcoming. The food is a cut above the average in France, definitely a higher standard than a lot of places these days. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
