Excellent pub - great food/drinks, English football, convenient location. Booking unnecessary and plenty of room.

Food looked better than it was. Maybe it was an off day but everything was way over cooked or over sauced. Yes, it's a pub but not sure how you can mess up pub food so bad. It would be a good place to watch a game and hang out as long as you didn't care about eating good food.

What does a French guy expect when entering a English pub ? Good food ? Try again. But I had the entrecôte (black Angus I might add), and it was simply great. Tasty, tender, and cooked exactly to my taste. Too bad the French fries where frozen and not homemade. Friendly staff, good ambiance overall. Glad I walked in in... More

Fish and chips done very well with cider to drink. The fish was tender and moist inside and crisp on the outside. It was plated beautifully. Very comfortable with good service. Can't wait to go back.

The food in the pub was great, ranging from Salads to Burgers, finger food etc. The quality of the food was great. There is a big screen with sport on all day, so a great place to watch French Rugby or Football. The only downside was that the service to the tables could be improved. On two visits, we actually... If you want lots of drinks, to watch footie and have a Big Ben burger then come here. The barmen are very generous with shots and like to try making new expetimental cocktails.

Wanted a quick bite to eat, & this looked good and homely on the outside. Surprised that despite there being quite a few customers in attendance, the waiting staff (all one of them) spoke little English ... and although there was a lot of chatter in the pub, didn't hear another English (or British) voice. Food disappointing for the price.... More

Visited this pub for an evening meal whilst staying at a nearby hotel. Whilst you might assume from the name that this is a typical English pub, our experience was certainly very different - most of the people there are French. On the menu is typical 'pub grub' - burgers, fries etc. It is adequate in quantity and quality although... More

On our last visit this pub was bouncing,we walked in ,no chance of getting a table but as we were only here for beer's... More
