Having been let down by Le Vin au 10 we were lucky enough to find this restaurant which could accommodate a party of 11. The staff were friendly, food excellent (particularly the hake) and it was very good value for money. Would definitely go there again. Dilys G

There are a cluster of restaurants in the town square area. We have often been disappointed at these places so we went up the street a little to this place. The fish terrine and the goat cheese salad (both starters) were excellent. The main courses were good, but not great, same with dessert.

It is worth moving away from the mass tourist restaurants of Sarlat to find this restaurant in a back street near the main square. We stumbled upon the restaurant and were attracted by the lunch 13.80€ menu. The food was excellently cooked and with reasonable variety including dorade and goose. The goose though could have done with a little more... More

We chose this little restaurant down a pretty side street in Sarlat as the menu looked interesting with turbot au champagne as an enticement. However, disappointment awaited, as shortly after our order had been taken, we were told they didn't have any. The fish I had as a replacement (daurade) was overcooked and dry. It came with a mound of... More

Had a lovely meal here. Up a quiet cobbled side street/alley, with outside seating away from the hustle & bustle of the main tourist streets. Food was excellent, as was the service. Very chilled out place to eat and while away the hours.

Great setting and excellent food. I had the €18 set menu and shared parts with my wife. The foie gras was very good and the coq au vin was exceptional, the creme brûlée tasty but small. No house wine made for a more expensive night than anticipated. The staff were friendly and helpful. Worth a try.

We stumbled onto this restaurant in the back streets on our first night in Sarlat after walking around town looking at menus which are very similar in their offerings. We opted for the 13€80 daily special menu and enjoyed the food for the most part. The fois gras was as I expected, the main course fish was quite tasteless and... More

We visited Sarlat on a Sunday and nearly everything was closed. To our relief, G&G was open and they happily took our business group of 7. As with most French menu's, this one was dominated by foie gras, but we were able to find both a prawn, fish, and steak dish that we liked. All three were above average and... More
