Beautiful spot along a small stream. Great food and excellent service. The chef delivered some courses and the support staff was friendly. A gem in the Loire Valley.

Thanks that was a pleasure to receive you
We had an amazing lunch in this restaurant. The location is superb, right next to a stream in the forest. The day was wonderful so we had the opportunity to seat on the terrace. The menu was delicious from the first dish to the dessert:...mise en bouche, Beef carpaccio with framboise vinegar, roasted pine nuts, capers and edible flowers, fish of the day with seasonal vegetables and flan with saffron and clementine ice cream with white chocolate! The service was very professional and we had a chance to offer our thanks to the chef.More
Thanks for the comment. That was a pleasure!
Blown away by the stunning view and gorgeous location. Definitely worth going just for that. Menu is fancy (no simple, plain cooking here!) and fairly limited but we are foodies and thought the meal was excellent. Highly recommend.
This is a wonderful restaurant in a gorgeous old home adjacent to a stream and old, stone bridge. The food is delicious. Superb actually.
We stayed for one night on the way to the Charente. Room was comfortable and restaurant on the river and mill race was lovely. I had a salade du chef to start, my husband had fois gras, then we both had the John Dory which...was exceptional, followed by cafe gourmand. Breakfast is very good with fresh compote, pastries and lots of homemade jams. It is fairly close to the tgv line but it didn't cause us any problem, also it is just minutes off the A10 motorway if heading South! A great stop off point in a lovely setting.More
We really enjoyed the irreverent (seemingly) menu which juxtaposed various tastes into a menu that was a joy. We started with the recommended sparkling Vouvray with peach liquor (very nice!) after the waiter advised us that peaches were a specialty of the region. The tasting...menu included a number of choices - we seemed to have everything including trout carpaccio, asparagus with pesto, scallop and lobster skewer, and fish cooked perfectly on a hot rock! The guinea fowl with chorizo was excellent as was the simpler grilled lamb. Both the souffle and carmelized pear tart were very good rounding out an excellent dinner. Service was great with excellent recommendations along the way. The setting next to the river is tranquil and three hours seemed to drift pleasantly along.More
Had a lovely evening here which was one of our dining highlights of our holiday to France. Setting lovely by the river, but slightly tricky to find, so keep eye out for signs. All our dishes were delicious and were accommodating for vegetarian needs. Worth...seeking out if in the area.More
This restaurant is great! Such a pretty location & very cosy French atmosphere. Good food - all very tasty. Made with lots of love & cooking for vegetarians wasn’t problem - they made a real effort & came up with some lovely adaptations Reasonably priced...- good value for what it was. 3-course table d’hôte type menu. Drinks not too expensive either Nice service - very friendly, accommodating & efficient. They squished us in late, at short notice, which was much appreciated after a stressful evening! Our little dog was welcome to sit in the restaurant with us too, which was great :-) Great all round - thoroughly recommended for dinner.More
Stayed for one night and enjoyed the fantastic dinner. Nothing to claim. Really good quality in food and service. Merci beaucoup.
Our hotel somewhat messed up with our dinner reservation so we needed to book a table for 7 people at this place on very short notice. We were lucky and people there were very friendly accommodating our last minute request even though the place was...fully packed. Very good menu to select from (including fish and meat courses). All dishes were very tasty, nicely and expertly prepared. Good selection of local wine. Nice friendly atmosphere.More
WE booked the Moulin Fleuri as Veigne is about two thirds of our Journey home through France and we have decided to start splitting the boring return leg. This is an excellent restaurant and well worth the detour
Just by Tours. I highly recommend this place for service and food. The home made foie gras is one of the best. And the hospitality cannot be beat. Plus it,has hotel rooms, so I would recommend, if you are in the area and on a...certain budget, make reservations for both your room and dinner!More
We stayed only one night. The room was minimal, but very clean. The staff was welcoming and very kind. Enjoyed an marvelous dinner in the restaurant about 8 p.m. Everything was perfect. We decided it was the best experience we had for 3 weeks in...France! Breakfast in the morning was very typical French fare, but definitely at step up. Very nice indeed!More
All cources are prepared with passion and knowledge and respect for the ingredients. The cook loves to cook and serves all course with creative details and a wide pallet of distinctive tastes. We had dinner 2 evenings. The 30 cheeses and wines are also an...adventure good wine lovers.More
We ate right by the river on the terrace - there was a lot of food - yes we ate too much! It was however all good - the salads were imaginative - trout and foie gras (with cherries, my wife said the best she...has ever had), then lamb (very good) and beef (have the lamb instead is my advice, it is just never as good as it should be). Excellent cheese board then we squeezed in desert somehow. Reasonable price too - we would definitely go backMore
