I'm a firm believer in eating where the locals eat. Arriving for lunch, the restaurant was full of Tuscans in what looked like a typical dining room. No gimmicks, pretty tablecloths, family photos on the walls and lovely staff. The menu is short, very short....More

We came here on the recommendation of our Lonely Planet guide book. A great recommendation. They have three or four appetizers and then a choice of two first and second courses made daily. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was charming.

Stopped for lunch; all meat dishes were flavorful and never over salted. Were seated quickly. Service was great as well.

Excellent food. You choose from one of two selections for either a first or second course. They change daily. The food was amazing. The inside is adorable and quaint. Looks like a real Italian kitchen. Prices are great. Staff was friendly.

This restaurant was recommended in the Lonely Planet and the romantic idea of a mother-daughters team running this restaurant with delicious home cooked Tuscan food drew us to this restaurant. The restaurant is in the corner of a quaint piazza and sitting in their outside...More

Excellent Tuscan food. Home cooking at its best, fresh, with the Volterra love and flavor. We can't wait to return soon and enjoy their kind service and food, and especially their great prices. Of course, their house wine is just great. Nice location near everything...More

After a busy but pleasurable trip thru Rome & Amalfi Coast, getting to Tuscany and smaller hill towns was a relief. The ancient city of Volterra allows only limited driving within the walls so pedestrians stroll the cobblestone streets and alleys looking for the authenticity....More

They Restaurant is beautifully located at a plaza in Volterra. The tables in an outside show love for detail. They offer a daily changing variety of just a few, but excellent, first and second courses. Additionally, you can order desserts and starters. The three sisters...More

The food was really good: authentic tuscany kitchen and nice home made pasta. The service was poor: not friendly, arrogant and I perceived that they are sick of tourists. The housewine (white) was so bad (tasted very acid) that we could not drink it and...More

Description
La Carabaccia, born from this love of age old flavours found in the Tuscan cusine, the passion for traditional tastes has been passed down to us from our grandmother, which we today, Sara and Patrizia, have the pleasure of sharing with you. The cusine of La Carabaccia offers a daily selection of authentic dishes, enabling you to saver the taste of time past, in a cosy and family setting. Everything is locally produced, in season and selected with genuine care and dedication to serve only the best. If you would prefer to select something other than the dish of the day, you can find a deliciously tasty alternative in our gastronomy (cold cuts, cheese, bruschetta, crostini...).
