We had crostini with locally made dips - wonderful. Pasta with wild bore was delicious. Moro in camiccia as desert - lovely. Size of portions - very big. Service was very friendly. Family run I believe and it shows. Will go back if ever again in Volterra. If you see a bike in front, you're at the right place.

I had a great meal at this old family restaurant, in existance since 1939, arrived by chance on a Sunday noon and the place was packed with locals, allways a good sign. Great local cuisine, home made pasta and local wine. Will come back again.

The owner was really nice with us and me and my 3 friends had a wonderful meal. We were incredibly full afterwards for a really good price. Food was really good. Recommended

Great typical restaurant with cozy atmosphere. We had cold cuts and crostini with local made 'sauces' as starters, which were impressive. The stew of boar meat with polenta had excellent taste and texture. However, what got me crazy were the spinach tortellini with vegetable sauce, I regret not having asked for the second portion. Also, the waiter was friendly and... More

We had a lovely and affordable meal with our Tour guide and our two new Italian friends from Rome. The food was locally sourced, st least in part, and represented dishes of the Volterra region. I had a traditional thick soup with vegetables and we ordered pear and cheese bruschetta. For dessert, the proprietor brought us two trays representing all... More

Nice, typical Italian place right across from the ancient fort turned prison. Pleasant and prompt service. Friendly house wine. Here's the important part - order the wild boar with fresh, "small" pasta. Sublime! We've had hundreds of dishes in Italy, and most of them have been quite nice, but this one was crazy good!

Dropped in for a late lunch, which ended up being close to when the kitchen was closing for the afternoon, but they catered to us anyway. The friendly staff put together a delicious and authentically Italian lunch for us: antipasto, Tuscan soup and fresh lasagna. Food was fresh and delicious, and the whole experience was like being well hosted by... More

Wonderful family run Osteria inside Porta a Seici. Fresh pasta, Volterran soup, warm friendly service. A bit off the beaten path, but this is a not to miss spot. Look for the three chairs and a bicycle outside the door.

Touristic trip to Volterra with a group of 60 friends stopping for dinner in the Osteria La Pace. Excellent food and wine in a rustic Tuscany place. Owners very kind and funny. It will be interesting to get back in future with family.

Thank Salpas
