We ate in this restaurand when staying at the families nearby hotel. Good value casual dining. Broad choice and fun to try their 1 meter pizza.

This well known pizza restaurant is clean and open, and has staff that are efficient and provide quite rapid service. You can watch the cooking process going on through glass panels and this is quite interesting. We were a large group and sat at four tables. We shared five different types of pizza. The variety flavours was interesting but some... More

Even though this is a large restaurant tucked away in the side street, they have wonderful authentic Italian thin crust pizza's. Suggest the mozzarella doc.

Not sure how they manage this but they do have groups of 50 and 2 and somehow manage to deal with both in the same sitting. It helps that you order the pizza by the metre and very few people seem to bother with the rest of the menu - we had antipasti and it was good. Big groups have... More

The famous place where they serve Neapolitan pizza sold by the metre or 1/4 there of! This is a big place almost tucked away, and usually packed with locals, families & tourists alike. Busy noisy spectacular! A must if your in town.

we ate there several times. The restaurant has a variety of Italian cuisine characteristic of the area,as well as variety of pizzas we have not seen anywhere else. I ate at this restaurant, amongt other things the most deliciues minestrone soup ever, and stuffed zuccini flowers. It was very tasty, just lick your fingers.Thank you Mr.Mario-the owner.Although the restaurant is very large, and had a capacity... It's massive and then you quickly realise why the place is so famous. Order your food and take a look at the kitchens. Affordable. You won't forget this place.

Who does not love a place that serves pizza by the meter. Massive dining hall but friendly service with a what you see is what you get vibe. No messing around with great pizza, local wine and speedy service. Kids loved watching it all put together. Was medium priced but worth it for the theatre. Definitely a must visit for... More

Description
Welcome to PIZZAMETROPizza a Metro from "Gigino" - as known as the university of pizza - is the historic pizzeria in Vico Equense, in the province of Naples. Its founder, Gigino Dell'Amura, has the merit of having invented, in the 30's, "pizza by the meter", from the characteristic Mediterranean flavor, which has become known today in the Italian culinary tradition as in that of the whole world.Pizza a Metro has, over the years, become the "University of Pizza" thanks to the quality of the ingredients used, the variety of pizzas offered, and of course, the unmistakable taste of true Neapolitan pizza.Pizza a Metro is also a restaurant where you can enjoy a wide variety of delicious Neapolitan dishes hand made, including fresh seafood quality certified and guaranteed to satisfy even the most discerning palates.
