As seafood restaurants go this is top class It is a more formal dining experience than most restaurants here but all the better for it We have been lucky enough to sample great meals here over the last few years That is why i can confidently say class is permanent I feel this is a must visit restaurant on anyones... Please allow me get this off my chest - if there are 68, (at the time of posting), restaurants in Viareggio better than Da Giorgio - then it is a blessed city indeed. I occasionally wonder why I bother posting? I’ll tell you why - because TA has a huge audience. Having complimentary reviews published in professional guides, may not... More

It was awesome! Seafood at its best. Make sure you reserve a table. Saturday/Sundays visited by locals, families going there traditionally since generations! Try the "baccheri" - a must. Looking forward to plan next trip to be able to eat there as soon as possibly again.

Just when you enter to the restaurant from the main door, you feel that you are in the right place if you are looking for a delicious seafood & fresh fish, or if you are looking for a cosy traditional rustic restaurant to have your lunch or your dinner with your lovers . The owner is so friendly & the... More

One of the high points of my summer is having Guido recite the various fish and crustaceans that he has fresh that day.

We were recommended this hotel by our taxi driver. It is a very popular restaurant with the locals and I can see why. The food was very good, as was the service , they were very very busy. Not sure though why I didn't feel a great vibe , maybe I was having an 'off' evening.

Stopped by for lunch. Grilled fish platter was fresh, cooked to our liking and well presented. Atmosphere was good, the other tables being occupied by locals. Service was efficient if restrained, but not in negative way. Overall had an authentic feel. Would recommend and would return.

Recommended by the reception at the Grand Royal - we made the short walk the Giorgio's, were greeted by the manager who guessed who we were, and gave us a choice of tables. It's rather quaint, and old-fashioned, but comfortable. While we were deciding on our food, we were given a large plate of fried shrimps - delicious! We both... More

My friend and I tried this restaurant following a recommendation from the owner of our rental property because it was very close by but were warned it would be expensive. It was expensive!! And, the prosecco was not chilled, my friends pasta was barely warm, my fish soup and fritto misto were average, but the cheesecake was good. The waiter... More

We've been to da Giorgio's a lot over the years. In fact, I'd say it is pretty much the only restaurant that we must go to if we visit Viareggio. This isn't a hugely tourist friendly place but, don't be put off, the food is fantastic. You get the feel for the place by the boxes of fresh seafood by... More
