I LOVE this little restaurant. Been there many times during my visits to Viareggio and never got disappointed. All freshly made, lots of choice and here you taste the real Tuscany.

Not many places play music in Italy so this is a real gem. Has a cellar feel about it, good service, friendly staff, good food.

We had had a terrible lunch earlier in the day and were a bit down about the experience. But from the minute we stepped into l'Assassino we felt at home. Amazing table with a fantastic nautical theme and atmosphere, our waiter couldn't be more helpful....More

First wine bar on the main street just off the river. Serves unusual salads and taster dishes which are well worth a try. We had the Autumn Menu which gave us a starter, main course and dessert for 15 euros. Delicious! Lots to eat though.

Highly recommend for a relaxing night on the patio. Food is delicious and staff gracious. Wine was in point. All around great, but in Italy, the choices are too good to throw 5 stars around to everyone.
