great experience, magic night. Amazing dishes, gifted wine list. A true landmark in the purest tradition of area high end cuisine tradition with a twist of genius. We worship you Mr Sacco ! PS. Reopens on March 1st !
Ok first off let me explain how I gave the restaurant my points. SERVICE: 2/2 KITCHEN: 1/2 LOCATION: 0/1 Let's start with the positive points: The service was simply excellent and worth the 2 Michelin stars. The servers were all helpful from the start till the finish, with good explanations from the different dishes and wines. I can't complain with... More
We came to have dinner in that two Michelin star restaurant with high expectations as we've eaten in Picola Lago 6 years ago and it was back then an unforgettable experience. The restaurant is beautifully designed, the stuff is,friendly and professional. The problem is the food. First - the menu ofers tasting menus (5, 8, or 11 courses) - without... More
Having read the wonderful reviews and being well aware of the standards required to attain the status of a two star Michelin our expectations were high when visiting this restaurant, and maybe this is where we went wrong. Have to admit that the drinks outside with cheese and... More
We had a 3-hour lunch at Piccolo Lago with a table at the window overlooking the serene lake. We have sometimes been disappointed in Michelin-starred restaurants but, in this case, they earned their stars. We had an excellent 8-course lunch with wine pairings served by the knowledgeable Japanese sommelier; the other (young) staff members were terrific as well – friendly,... More
This is the second time at Piccolo Lago. Of course the food is great ("of course" is mandatory because of the 2 stars Michelin) and the view of the lake remains very nice and difficult to forget. BUT. Having already experimented the wow effect, we concentrated more on the overall experience. Compared to the first time when we had an... More
We had tried previously to dine here, but it was only possible in the evenings, except Saturdays when the restaurant is also open for lunch. This time, we pre-booked weeks in advance. We came here on a busy Saturday in mid-summer, during the holiday season. The restaurant is located directly above the Lago di Mergozzo, and most tables offer a... More
