While traversing the Sella Ronda, try to time your lunch at this small restaurant in Val Gardena. The homemade quiche, fresh desserts, and antipasto tray were exceptional. There were plenty of vegetarian options as well. The restaurant is always busy and if you hit the rush hour you will have trouble being seated.

Struggling to find any reasonably priced tasty food ( out of season ) we found the Villa Frainela which is an absolutely charming place, run by a super lovely lady, delivering delicious, simple food made from top quality ingredients. Loved it :)

We ate here this afternoon. The pastries are all home made and are the highest quality. We have travelled around the world many times looking for the best restaurants and have finally found one to add to the list in northern Italy. Don't miss this place even if you are a couple hours drive, it is worth it. The cakes,... More

Went for pastries and tea this afternoon. The thick hot chocolate and homemade pStries are all worthy of a Michelin star. Don't miss this place if you are in northern Italy. I think it is worth at least a 2 hour detour to appreciate such a place.

Best quality food and cakes. Lovely, cosy interior. Everything is homemade, even the icecream and the granola! Great athmosphere, great view from the patio.

Eating here was a case of third time lucky. We tried to eat here last year but it was closed (and still is) on Tuesdays. On our second visit, we arrived at 1100, to discover it opens at 1200, (and still does). We finally made it indoors on the third visit. We only stopped for coffee and cake but boy…what... More

I love to stop by Villa Frainela on my way home of one day of ski. The place in totally near the slopes so you can get there by skiing. All the desserts are homemade and unique by the owner. They are all freshly made too. The sandwiches are also very good. Around February when the days are getting longer... More

Again, friends suggested we should try it out, and it was worth every penny (many pennies to be honest, but still worth it). The best house made pies (of every kind, sweet and salty) I ever had, actually all of us (we were an extended group of friends) ever had. Also, nice architecture, great views and super friendly service... Left... More
