This low key and basic place offers good food. Several pastas are home made and very tasty. The chef comes to see how it tastes and is clearly proud of what he puts on the table. It's great value for money, we had lunch there which i can recommend to everyone looking for honest and proper traditional Italian food.

Had a bit of trouble finding this little restaurant but after asking this lovely moustache man where it was, he directed us and we were delighted to have not given up. Great food, great staff and a charming location!

A handful of tables underneath an archway leading into the historic areas of San Remo. We had little time before our return ride to Nice, so rather than dawdle over all the other restaurant choices, we stopped at this quiet place. How lucky we were. We had hoped to find a spot for some simple, classic Italian food. We found... More

This is a terrific, small, absolutely no frills, family restaurant serving an authentic Ligurian menu, situated in a very picturesque, cobbled street just at the entrance to the old town. It truth, the menu is not huge – a small set menu & very limited a la carte - but what really made this place memorable was the warmth &... More

We came here in May 2013 I read the great reviews on here and decided to try this place out whilst in Sanremo. It is located on the entrance of La Pigna (the pine cone shaped old town) and we decided to have lunch here before our climb up the pine cone. Our first impression was the very friendly waiter,... We stumbled across this charming little restaurant on the edge of the old town one lunchtime.. it was a quiet time of year and the restaurant was almost full which as a good omen! The service was extremely efficient and charming and everything was explained to us in English. My husband had the minestrone (I tried it & it was... More

Imagine you're visiting San Remo in a sunny spring day, and you're loving exploring the small streets packed with shops, beautiful architecture, and history. Then, all of the sudden you're craving for some good regional specialties at a very affordable price. Well, La Ciotola is the place just for that. Try the Trofie al pesto, a lovely food experience to... More
