The muscles were the best I've ever had and my main which was a seafood pasta tasted really good as well. Recommended to me by a local at Portovenere and we were not disappointed.

Walk away from the tourist traps along the 'beachfront' in Portovenere. Walk an extra 1km along the coast to La Chiglia, have the truffle cream, prawn/shrimp pasta. You won't regret it. La Chiglia is a place favored by the locals, you cant go wrong here...
Visited this place after very high reviews on tripadvisor. Not worth it at all. The food was around mediocre, unless you are a true lover of shellfish. But the service was the worst we have experienced in Italy. One in our party got a wrong...More

the food was good, the taste ok, but pasta were overcooked, and the mixed fish was way to salted. A shame. We had been recommended this restaurant but must say we were a bit disappointed.
The keel as in keel of a boat ( La Chiglia ) restaurant was our favorite restaurant in Porto Venere. Service always good. The food was delicious. The price quite reasonable. Fresh sweet seafood especially the mussels harvested right from the mussel farms right out...More
